Begin aan een avontuurlijke tour van een hele dag met ons luxe privévoertuig vanuit Auckland om de twee beroemdste attracties van Nieuw-Zeeland op één dag te zien. Neem deel aan een voordelige Hobbiton Movie Set-tour, de bekroonde attractie die beroemd is geworden door de populaire Lord of the Rings- en Hobbit-films, waar je de ingewikkeld gecreëerde 'Hobbit' ziet en een boottocht maakt op een ondergrondse rivier verlicht door fonkelende glimwormen inclusief een uitgebreid BBQ-lunchbuffet.

De Bombay Hills zijn een reeks heuvels ten zuiden van Auckland, Nieuw-Zeeland. Hoewel ze slechts een kleine en ogenschijnlijk onbeduidende reeks heuvels zijn, liggen ze aan de zuidelijke grens van de regio Auckland en dienen ze als een scheiding tussen Auckland en de Waikato-regio. direct vernoemd naar het schip Bombay, Het schip zelf is vernoemd naar de Indiase stad Bombay (nu Mumbai). We stoppen om op eigen kosten heerlijke koffie te halen en een comfortabele pauze voordat we onze reis naar de Waikato-regio voortzetten.
Te Awamutu noemt zichzelf de 'Rozenhoofdstad van Nieuw-Zeeland'. Tijdens het bloeiseizoen, van november tot april, is de tuin naast het bezoekerscentrum een technicolor droom, aangezien 2000 rozenstruiken de charme aandoen.
Vervolgens vertrekken we om te stoppen voor een lunchbuffet in BBQ-stijl voordat we de magische schoonheid van Waitomo Caves ontdekken. Sta versteld van duizenden magische glimwormen hierboven terwijl je geruisloos op een boot glijdt in de wereldberoemde Waitomo Glowworm Caves. De betoverende Waitomo-grotten trekken al meer dan 120 jaar bezoekers dankzij hun ongelooflijke kalksteenformaties en lichtgevende gloeiwormen. Vaar met een boot onder de duizenden kleine glimwormen die de grotten bewonen en zorg voor een betoverend lichtspektakel, vergelijkbaar met de fonkelende nachtelijke hemel. Nadat we weer bij de luxe touringcar zijn gestapt, zijn we aan het eind van de dag terug in Auckland.
Loop het echte landschap van Middle Earth binnen tijdens een wandeltocht door de Hobbiton™ Movie Set, waar je een kijkje achter de schermen krijgt bij 'The Lord of the Rings' en 'The Hobbit'. ™ Ga naar een ontwerp van Hobbit™ Southfarthing™, bekijk de opmerkelijke details die Hobbiton™ tot leven brachten op het scherm en bezoek de plaatsen waar belangrijke scènes zijn gemaakt. Kijk naar Balingshoek, waar de avonturen van Frodo en Bilbo begonnen. Verdwaal tussen de hobbitgaten en bezoek de Green Dragon Inn, de molen en de Party Tree. - U moet minimaal 18 jaar oud zijn en een geldig identiteitsbewijs met foto kunnen tonen om alcohol te consumeren.
- In de Waitomo-grotten is fotograferen niet toegestaan en camera's en Go Pro's mogen niet worden meegenomen op de tour.
- Rondleidingen zijn geschikt voor mensen van alle leeftijden en met een gemiddelde conditie. Onze mooie wandelingen zijn kort en optioneel. Laat het onze gids bij het inchecken weten als u zich zorgen maakt over uw conditie.
- Tours vinden plaats onder alle weersomstandigheden; Bij regen zijn er parasols aanwezig.
- Er is ruimte voor een kinderwagen of kinderwagen, op voorwaarde dat deze volledig inklapbaar is en in de bagageruimte van onze bussen past.
- De grotten zijn toegankelijk voor mensen met een redelijke mobiliteit, omdat er goede leuningen en paden zijn. Er is geen rolstoeltoegang.
- We blijven droog – voor de tocht zijn geen wetsuits, abseilen of stroomversnellingen nodig, het is heel eenvoudig.
- De tocht vindt plaats in de buitenlucht en de temperatuur in de grot is zelfs in de zomer koel (10°C/50°F), dus we raden aan een jas en comfortabele wandelschoenen mee te nemen.
- Je moet trappen kunnen beklimmen en afdalen en op onverhard of oneffen terrein kunnen lopen.

Mary our guide toured us from Auckland up and back very safely and swiftly. Aside from that we learned so much about the local culture, about the history and about the country. At the end Mary helped to reserve a dinner table at a local dish restaurant where we finished a lovely first day in New Zealand. Mary made this day remarkable and we won’t forget this experience. Alan was our tour guy . He was very professional . He was on time this morning . On the way he explained everything to us every step away. He talked about New Zealand about certain areas answered to our questions . The weather was nice I recommend Alan to anyone who wants to hire private duty tour driver. He even had small snack for us even though we stopped twice for coffee and toilet breaks .

Great tour! Mike S. Was our driver and commentary to both sites. He was great with commentary about the local area to and from both Hobbiton and Waitomo. He was detailed with information on what was to occur and our timeframe at each place.The ride was filled with good laughs and good company. Hobbiton was magical. The caves fascinating. New Zealand is a beautiful country and the ride to the area was well worth it. It would’ve been fun to stop and take photos of sheep and or cows. l highly recommend this tour! I

I enjoyed it but i thought so expensive and shoud have more option to have lunch but the guide was very good
