Privétour: het oude Rome met de auto

They were a great value for the money. Our driver picked us up at the cruise port and was very informative and courteous. Very adaptable to what we wanted to do. Our tour guide at the Vatican was super nice and very knowledgeable. We got to see so many more sights than if we would have booked an excursion on the cruise ship.

We had very good tours. All of your guides/drivers were extremely professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and fun. It made our whole Rome experience wonderful. We had been to Rome 4 times previously and still we saw new things and learned so much! The winery we went to (Tenuta Casanova) was exceptional in every way. I would highly encourage you to use it as your primary wine destination (we were initially taken somewhere else, and it wasn’t quite as nice). Thank you for your exceptional service

Well I asked Claud AI for recommendations on Rome tours and Rome Private Excursions was the top recommendation. I am so glad I chose them. I only had 24 hours in Rome and really wanted to see as much as possible. Max was WONDERFUL. He provided so much information on Rome's history as we went from site to site. I learned so much and got to see so much more (with historical context) than I possibly could have seen solo. Highly recommend this tour operator. Communication was strong, pickup was effortless, and itinerary was 100% flexible based on my needs.

We had 2 cars as our group was 9 people. Both tour drivers were amazing Guides were top notch and shared lots of information while driving We would definitely use your guys again next time we come to Italy. They were so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They would get you so close to where you want to go. They prearranged all of the skip the line passes for our tours. Took all the work out of our hands and made it seamless. Thanks again

We have used Rome Private excursions on multiple occasions for many of their offerings over the past 15 plus years. Having used them for transfers in Rome, transfers between Rome and Sorrento, many tours in and around Rome and tours in Florence and the Tuscan countryside, we can attest to the fact that they are a 5 plus star organization. We would highly recommend them for all types of group whether small or large, individual or family. We have had the fortune of meeting and having Luca as our guide on several occasions and have personally experienced not only his passion for sharing his travel expertise but also making sure all of his RPE guides have that same knowledge and passion. Having traveled to 30 plus countries in Europe, Rome Private Excursions is in a League of their own’.

We just completed this tour (August 2026) with a total of 11 family members based on a word of mouth recommendation. From the start, (months prior) Luca & Lucia were very responsive via email and went through all of our options in great detail, and helped us plan our tour which was taking place during Ferragosto, which had some challenges. Our group was limited on time as we flew into Rome for a cruise, and only had one full day and wanted to see as much as possible. We opted for the 8 hour tour and it did not disappoint. Our drivers, Max and Claudio were extremely knowledgeable and did not waste a minute of our 8 hours. They were a wealth of info and shared it from start to finish. The drivers were on time (8am), arrived with two air conditioned (ice cold) Mercedes trucks to fit our large group, and we were off to visit the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, Circus Maximus, the Colloseum (skip the line tickets), the Basilica of St. Paul, the Trevi Fountain, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the catacombs. We even fit in a couple of coffee stops and a stop for lunch. There is no way we could have organized seeing and learning this much in one day, and certainly not in the comfort in which we did. Worth every penny. A+ would absolutely recommend and looking forward to coming back to Rome one day when we have more time to see more and would absolutely use them again.

We had Juan take my family and I for a full day trip around Rome in a spacious, air conditioned van. Juan was extremely knowledgeable and had a ton of great stories. PRE was extremely communicative and even provided car seats for our young children upon request. This was actually our second time booking this Rome tour with PRE (the last time was in 2024), and both times have been amazing. Would definitely recommend

Chris was absolutely AMAZING! From the moment he greeted us at our hotel for pickup until he dropped us off, everything was seamless. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable from the start. His passion for the city really came through, and he shared so many interesting stories and local insights that made the experience even more memorable. We never felt rushed, and he made sure we got the most out of our time. A special mention as well to Luca, the owner, who took the time to personally call me prior to the trip to make sure the tour was exactly what we were looking for. That extra attention to detail really set the tone for a fantastic experience. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would recommend Chris and Rome Private Excursions 1000% to anyone looking for an exceptional tour. Thank you for an unforgettable day! Thank you, Chris!

This tour was a highlight of my family's first visit to Rome from the United States. Massimo was our driver and tailored our tour to make it interesting and insightful for our family including 3 kids who were engaged the entire day. Massimo was so knowledgeable! David was our guide through the Vatican, his eye for detail and pointing out all the insider items and secrets was fantastic. I without hesitation highly recommend. Luca, the owner, is an excellent communicator. If you want to feel like you have friend's who have lived in Rome a lifetime, book this tour!
