Deze gebouwen maken het plein tot een aantrekkelijke plek voor bezoekers.
De Kerk van de Sociëteit van Jezus is een van de juweeltjes van barokkunst in Latijns-Amerika. Het is het belangrijkste artistieke bewijs van de School van Quito. Het meest indrukwekkende aan deze tempel is het interieur, dat bijna geheel bedekt is met fijne platen bladgoud van 18 karaat.
Plaza de San Francisco is een van de oudste en meest karakteristieke pleinen van Quito, gelegen tegenover de majestueuze San Francisco-kerk en -klooster. Door de geschiedenis heen is het plein een ontmoetingsplek, een markt en het decor voor sociale, culturele en politieke evenementen geweest. Tegenwoordig is het een toeristische trekpleister, vol kraampjes die punch en ijs uit een emmer verkopen.

Jhonathan was our guide. He was absolutely AMAZING! VERY friendly, accommodating and his depth of knowledge of Quito and Ecuador was so impressive!! We had such a great time on this tour! Jhonatan was very outgoing, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was patient with our pace and questions, and great with our son, too! We modified the day a tiny bit, but felt the itinerary was well crafted overall. Getting the right guide can make or break a trip, even if the itinerary is good- thankfully, this was the right tour for us. Jhonatan was excellent!! Hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else, but we had a delayed flight that caused us to have to reschedule this tour. Jhonatan was AWESOME about fitting us in on a different day, and he was so forgiving of the snag. We really appreciate that he honored our tour despite the changes.
We had a terrific tour with Jhonatan as our guide and Santiago our driver. They showed up on time with a spotless sedan to pick us up at the hotel. Jhonatan was energetic, considerate, entertaining and very knowledgeable. We saw all the highlights in the city with a better understanding of the culture and history of Ecuador. Jhonatan was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable about Quito as a city both historically and today, the surrounding area, Ecuador as a whole as well as the surrounding countries and their current and past interactions. We called an audible mid tour for something we wanted to see and it was a seamless transition; unsurprisingly he was knowledgeable about that as well! I highly recommend him.

This was a great tour which hit all the highlights of Quito. Our tour guide Johnny was extremely knowledgeable and provided a lot of Information during our day. Jhonaton was our tour guide today along with JC as the driver. A well planned , comprehensive tour was executed perfectly. Johnson is highly educated and is qualified to lead many other tours such as biking or the Amazon. He spoke Spanish slowly without no accent so that my husband and friend could practice their Spanish. His English is fluent enough to get my silly jokes and puns. He was very easy going, going at our pace. JC is a very competent driver and his van was immaculate. He lived in the US for several years so his English is excellent. Do yourself a favor and book these gentlemen .

What a great private tour I had today, I really enjoyed the tour and had a great time. The guide Ruben is very knowledgeable, patient and professional the whole time. Quito Old Town and equator are must to visit when coming to Quito and this private tour will provide you the best option to do that.
