Bezoek drie verschillende kastelen rond Cardiff in één dag. Te beginnen met Caerphilly Castle, het grootste kasteel van Wales. Na het verkennen van het kasteel wordt u meegenomen naar het magische sprookjeskasteel Castell Coch, genesteld in de heuvels ten noorden van Cardiff, met uitzicht op de Welshe hoofdstad. Afhankelijk van hoe lang je in Caerphilly Castle en Castell Coch bent, heb je misschien tijd om de 900 jaar oude Llandaff-kathedraal te bezoeken. Tot slot wordt u naar Cardiff Castle in het hart van de stad gebracht, waar u wordt achtergelaten om het kasteel te bezoeken en zelfstandig het stadscentrum en de Victoriaanse arcades te verkennen. U bent vrij om Caerphilly Castle, Castell Coch & Llandaff Cathedral zelfstandig te verkennen in uw eigen tijd en in uw eigen tempo terug te keren naar uw chauffeur in uw eigen tijd, die klaar is om verder te gaan wanneer u dat bent. Caerphilly Castle, gebouwd in de 13e eeuw, is het grootste kasteel in Wales, beroemd om zijn waterkeringen en zijn scheve toren. Gebouwd door Gilbert de Clare om de lokale bevolking onder controle te houden, werd de bouw van het kasteel tegengewerkt door lokale heersers uit Wales die probeerden (en er niet in slaagden) het kasteel te vernietigen terwijl het in aanbouw was. De indrukwekkende waterverdediging wordt beschreven als "de beste waterverdediging van elk kasteel in Groot-Brittannië"

SO MUCH VALUE! GARETH was such a great tour guide. If you’ve traveled to Cardiff, take the private tour! You see so much of the castle that’s not on the general admission tour. It’s unbelievably beautiful in the clock tower that’s only on the private tour.

This was a very cool experience. It wasn’t quite what we expected. We thought we’d have our driver or someone at the venue tour us through the castles and cathedral but that was not the case. The first castle had a virtual story that you could read/listen/watch as you went though the place. It did provide lots of interesting details of the life of some of the people that lived there but you do need to pay attention to the direction you go so you follow the story. The second castle was an audio tour (came with the payment to enter) and it was fairly informative and once the speech was done in a room it gave you options to learn more about different things you might find interesting. And there was no tour through the cathedral, we just walked through. It was all beautiful and absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful time! And would recommend but just wasn’t quite what we had expected. Our driver was also very friendly and had lots of information to share about Cardiff, the surrounding areas and its history. We had a great time with our driver!
Hi Madison, sorry for the confusion about having someone with you to guide you around the Castles & Cathedrals. Our guest usually prefer being able to explore and discover the various places we take them all over Wales independently at their own pace, so we tell them about the places we are taking them too, and once we arrive there, we let them explore in peace. Our guests have told us they very much like this "hands off" approach. I have now updated our listing, to make this clearer to those who wish to take this tour in the future. It is interesting to know tree diferent linda of castles. One very Richter decorated, another a simple one. , and the third in the midle!

Wonderful experience getting outside of Cardiff and seeing more of south Wales. The castles were beautiful and we had a lot of time to explore.

Dave was a super guide. I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this tour. The inside of Caerphilly was closed but the outside is spectacular by itself. Castle Coch is a great experience and Llandaff Cathedral is definitely worth visiting.

We enjoyed the tour and the chance to get out of the city. Wish that Caerphilly Castle had been open to the public, considering how far we traveled, as that was one of the reasons we booked the tour. But our tour guide was prompt, very kind and good natured, and easy to converse with. We were grateful for his time, patience, and expertise.
