Deze kenmerkende Roam Wales-dagtour is een avontuur van een hele dag langs de prachtige zuidkust van Wales. Vanuit Cardiff reist u westwaarts naar Swansea’s Maritime Quarter, waar levendige cultuur aan het water het maritieme erfgoed en de erfenis van Dylan Thomas ontmoet. Mumbles wordt vaak omschreven als de toegangspoort tot de Gower en is een van de meest geliefde badplaatsen van Wales. Er is tijd om over de promenade te struinen, lokale winkels te bekijken of wat beroemde Welshe ijs te proeven.
Trots staand op een klein getijdeneiland aan de rand van Bracelet Bay, begeleidt Mumbles Lighthouse al generaties lang schepen veilig langs deze kustlijn. Een van de meest gefotografeerde bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving, het biedt een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht over het Kanaal van Bristol en terug naar Swansea Bay.
Ervaar de Gower-kustlijn op zijn best tijdens deze schilderachtige wandeling op de klif tussen Langland Bay en Caswell Bay. De route volgt een deel van het Wales Coast Path en biedt adembenemende uitzichten op zee, dramatische kalkstenen kliffen en uitgestrekte vergezichten over gouden stranden beneden. Rhossili Bay wordt regelmatig gerangschikt onder de mooiste stranden ter wereld en is een van de ware natuurwonderen van Wales. Dit spectaculaire strand strekt zich kilometers uit langs de Atlantische kust en is beroemd om zijn vegende zand, glooiende duinen en onvergetelijke landschappen. Of het nu baadt in de zon of gevormd wordt door dramatisch kustweer, Rhossili blijft altijd imponeren.
Worm's Head steekt dramatisch uit in de Atlantische Oceaan en is een van de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden in Wales. Genoemd naar het oude Noorse woord voor “draak”, heeft dit getijdeneiland mythes, legendes en talloze foto’s geïnspireerd. Vanaf de kliftoppen hierboven geniet je van een ongelooflijk uitzicht op de ruige kustlijn en de krachtige natuurkrachten die het schiereiland Gower hebben gevormd.

I had an amazing experience on the Golden Gower Coast, Maritime & Mumbles Day Tour with Roam Wales. The entire day was incredibly enjoyable and very well organised from beginning to end. The views along the Gower coastline were absolutely stunning, and every stop along the tour offered something unique and memorable. The guide was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting history and local insight throughout the trip. Mumbles was a real highlight, with a brilliant atmosphere and beautiful scenery, and the Sea..... so beautiful and dramatic made the whole experience even more interesting. I would highly recommend Roam Wales to anyone looking to explore Wales properly and experience places you might otherwise never discover. It was a relaxed, enjoyable, and genuinely memorable day out, and I would not hesitate to book another tour with them in the future.

This is absolute stunning experience! First of all, it was not as commercial as the other trips we had. In the past we had some tours left at many photo stops. This one, on the other hand, gave us the opportunity to actually walk along the beautiful, beautiful coast line and enjoy the stunning view. It didn’t stop at too many small towns. Instead, it gave us time to really enjoy the beautiful natural sceneries. The small town we had lunch was also not too commercial. The town was very local and clean, had simple beach side to walk. The tour guide also introduced some interesting history and was very humorous.. Plus, the schedule was not so tight, and the walking was not tired.

This was an amazing way to see Swansea, the coast line and Mumbles. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone was lovely. The coach was comfortable and had AC. We had time to spend in both places and were able to walk the coast. Beautiful day trip with a great company!
