Privétour: Cesky Krumlov Dagtrip vanuit Praag
Beschrijving
Genesteld in de hoefijzervormige bocht van de rivier de Moldau, wordt het pittoreske stadje bewaakt en bewaakt door het majestueuze Krumlov-kasteel, het op een na grootste kasteel in Tsjechië, het juweel van middeleeuwse architectuur, onaangetast door de aanval van de moderne tijd. Na een reis van 2,5 uur vanuit Praag ontmoeten we de gids en laten we je het beste van deze middeleeuwse stad zien tijdens een privéwandeling inclusief verschillende fotostops. Gevolgd door een openbare rondleiding door het kasteel (in de winter is het interieur gesloten, in plaats daarvan nemen we je mee naar het kasteelmuseum en naar de top van de kasteeltoren).

Het kasteel van Český Krumlov is als een sprookje! Het is het op een na grootste kasteel van Tsjechië, de schrijver Karel Čapek zei dat de toren de mooiste van alle torens is. Binnen zie je het oudste werkende barokke theater ter wereld, een vergulde koets of een prachtige balzaal. Op maandag en in de winter is het kasteelinterieur gesloten, dus bezoeken we in plaats daarvan het kasteelmuseum (de kasteelbinnenplaatsen zijn altijd toegankelijk).
De tegenhanger van het kasteel is de Sint-Vituskerk. Gebouwd in 1309 (sindsdien is het verschillende keren gereconstrueerd), het diende ook als begraafplaats voor de heren van Krumlov.
Oorspronkelijk werden 2 afzonderlijke steden uit de 13e eeuw, Latran onder het kasteel en Krumlov aan de binnenzijde van de rivier, samengevoegd tot één. De oude stad heeft zijn historische karakter behouden, je ziet het prachtige Oude Stadsplein met zijn prachtige herenhuizen en de pestzuil, steekt de brug over, en verdwaalt in de geplaveide straatjes met middeleeuwse pittoreske huisjes.

Je chauffeur ontmoet je in de lobby van je hotel in Praag. De gids wacht op je op de parkeerplaats in Cesky Krumlov. De chauffeur zal je na de tour terugbrengen naar je hotel (of een ander punt van voorkeur) in Praag.

This is a perfect day trip from Prague. The drive takes about two hours but the city is worth the visit. The city has a castle and an English speaking tour of this is included and provides a lot of insight into what living in a place like this might have been like. The town has amazing architecture and lots of shops for antiques and souvenirs. The views of the town and river are a spectacular vision of the medieval past. The tour allows for time to have lunch and the guide recommended an outstanding restaurant by the river, although there are many to choose from. A great wussy to get out of the Prague crowds, see the country and learn a lot about the history of Bohemia.

We had a very nice trip through the rolling southern countryside to see the beautiful castle and town of Cesky Krumlov! It needs to be on the can't miss list for visits to the Czech Republic! The town is beautiful and we had a fantastic lunch at Papa's restaurant on the terraza. Communication with Continental has been excellent on two trips, our driver was phenomenal and took us on a side trip to show us the town square at Cesky Budejovice as well! Our guide at Cesky Krumlov was informative as well.

Lovely old architecture and quaint little lanes to explore. Brilliant views from the castle over the snow capped houses in the old town and river. Very easy to walk around on your own, everyone was friendly and helpful. It was a most enjoyable two day stay, would highly recommend a visit.
If you’re only in town for a single day the best way to see this magnificent classic Gothic old world city is to take a walking tour. There a many tour organizations in town but do take a tour of this great city. Be sure to allow yourself at least four hours bring good walking shoes and an excellent camera. You’ll be amazed at the sights particularly of the city itself from the High Point of vantage. It’s magnificent. Enjoy.
<p>The transportation was on time and car very nice. The driver Peter spoke good English and provided water and snacks for us. We wanted to stay and extra 30 min in the town and he accommodated very nicely. There is a separate guide once you get into town. They both collaborated well together. The local guide was very knowledgable and gave us good tid bits of history that we wouldn't have gotten in a tour book. The day was amazing!!! They both made the trip very special!! It was well worth the time to see this town!!</p>
