Het kasteel van Cesky Krumlov staat op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO en staat bekend om zijn unieke architectuur, spectaculaire uitzichten en rijke geschiedenis. Het kasteel, gebouwd in de 13e eeuw, is het op één na grootste van het land en ligt aan de oevers van de rivier de Moldau. Het is een prachtig voorbeeld van renaissance-architectuur, met zijn kenmerkende boogvensters, majestueuze torens en steil aflopende terrassen. Het kasteel was oorspronkelijk eigendom van de adel en herbergt als zodanig een aantal belangrijke historische artefacten, zoals het Schwarzenbergpaleis en het Rosenbergpaleis. Bezoekers kunnen de vele kamers en gangen van het kasteel verkennen, evenals de vele sculpturen en decoraties op de binnenplaats. Het kasteel herbergt ook een indrukwekkend baroktheater, dat open is voor het publiek en het hele jaar door verschillende culturele evenementen organiseert.

Het staat vooral bekend om zijn adembenemende kasteel, het Hluboka-kasteel, dat in de 13e eeuw door de familie Schwarzenberg werd gebouwd. Het kasteel is een van de mooiste van het land en is liefdevol gerestaureerd met behoud van de originele barokke en renaissancearchitectuur. Het kasteelterrein is nu een populaire toeristische bestemming en biedt een scala aan activiteiten, zoals wandelingen door de tuinen, paardrijden en zelfs varen op de rivier. Het museum in het kasteel is ook een bezoek waard en herbergt vele kunstvoorwerpen, evenals een indrukwekkende bibliotheek.

We have Mr. Prem as our guide/driver. He is very informative and made sure we had it easy on the walking since i am with seniors. All in all, it was worth it.

It was a beautiful example of a 12th century town, but we only had 2 days in Prague and 1 of those days was spent at Cesky Kumlov. There was a lot of Prague we were not able to see as a result of not enough time.

We took a day trip to Cesky Krumlov and had an amazing experience! Our guide, Johanka, was fantastic! Super funny, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She really added to the whole day with her stories and insights, and she was so accommodating and helpful throughout the trip. Cesky Krumlov itself is absolutely beautiful, truly like stepping into a fairytale. Wandering through the charming streets and enjoying the delicious local food made the day even more special. I highly recommend visiting!

What a lovely day trip. Cesky Krumlov is unbelievable beautiful and our guide Johanka was such a gem. Enjoyed the traditional food we were served for lunch. Would have liked a bit more free time to explore the city and do some shopping. The stop at Hluboká nad Vltavou was also very interesting.

Full day trip - Prague to Krumlov Excellent private tour. This tour is outstanding. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed a tour. Primek is our guide. Primek was picked us from the hotel and drop off. He knows the history of the town, the castle and the place. There is a lot of walking but well worth it. It is a beautifull place, you must not missed it. I'd recommend to anyone looking to visit the city.

It was a very enjoyable experience. We were given an amazing tour and our guide was very knowledgeable. Great way to see the city. The sites were beautiful. The fall colors were nothing like I’ve seen. The only thing that was confusing and a bit uncomfortable was our lunch break and free time. I didn’t expect our guide to eat lunch with us. We were ready for some free time and our tour resumed after we ate lunch and thus we were only allowed about an hour for free time. But our guide picked us up promptly and dropped us at our hotel after the tour which was a plus.

We booked a private tour to Cesky Krumlov and had the pleasure of Misa, the owner, as our tour guide. She was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better day touring a gorgeous city. I am so glad we added on this day tour.
