Amazing place for tourists, caves and houses under the floor. Old civilization who lives inside these caves, their way of living etc... Historical place for tourists and history lovers.

Worth a visit, you'll find religious history and unique murals. It does look a bit touristy, but that automatically results in such places...
Visit the open-air museum which is actually a whole cave town! Multiple spaces are accessible!! Unfortunately the visitors did not respect it! Plan at least 2 hours of visit! Warning in hot weather
Nice to walk through the antiquities and see how the first cultures began to create things from nothing and carve the rock by hand. Worth a visit charming place 🙂🙃🙂
Nice place, NOT Recommendation the tour organized by GetYourGuide in the day. Estimated time 5.30am before Reservation, instead once paid they arrive at 4.30am. Very general in the info it gives you and unclear. The transference that comes to pick us up does not speak English, impossible to communicate. We arrive in Cappadocia, the English Guide is Muslim, he practically gives us the tour alone because he does not enter the churches, while the other guides scrupulously accompany their guests. Also very fast in explanations. Unthinkable that with 800 euros package there is not a, I say only one, free entrance to a museum. During the tour we lost an hour in the morning and one in the evening in two places where the time and ceramics work, with the sole intent of selling us something (even insistent), not only was it not indicated in the route but also not requested by us. Expected lunch, but water excluded to be paid separately. The tour ended at 4.30pm: First flight to Istanbul about 19.30, but we booked the one at 21. We spent almost 3 hours in a small small airport because then the transfer leaves you there and you can not move. Arrived at Istanbul airport at 11 pm, we exit at the scheduled point and there is no Transfer waiting for us. After ten minutes I had to call and figure out what happened. He finally showed up, but the line was long and only after 15 minutes we could get in a car that took us back to the hotel.
If you travel to Türkiye, a tour of Cappadocia is a must. The Goreme valley is something unique! The landscape is beautiful, as are the paintings of some small churches in this area! A hot air balloon trip at dawn is recommended!
An open-air museum is the right name. This vast monastic complex presents itself with its rooms in succession like the rooms of a museum. The closeness between these wonderful churches is incredible. It is a visit, not too difficult, not to be missed. The most beautiful churches: elmali (of the apple), karanlik (dark), carikli (of the sandal), tokali (of the buckle), date back to the 10th-12th century and are all frescoed. The paintings are quite damaged. The best preserved are those of the dark church (karanlik) but the most colorfully beautiful (a stupendous lapis lazuli blue) are those of the buckle (tokali). Restoration underway in the latter by the University of Tuscia. Many tourists . Little time to stay inside. No photography. In the book shop at the entrance you will find very interesting volumes in English on churches.
There’s a lot of things to say but i just wanna say WONDERFUL! You have to visit this place… I have some photos thus you can understand what i want to say! 🙌🏽
Visited here with our tour group . Found the market at the base very good price wise. To get to the open air museum it’s all uphill and hard going on very uneven terrain . Some bits of museum ok but some just empty rooms and not worth bothering about . Wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here.
