Ontdek de bezienswaardigheden van Rio tijdens een rondleiding, inclusief ophalen en wegbrengen bij hotels, luchthavens of havens in Rio. Begin met een bezoek aan de Corcovado-berg, waar je naar de voet van het 38 meter hoge standbeeld van Christus de Verlosser rijdt. Rijd met een busje naar de top of stap in de trein, voor een voorproefje van het prachtige landschap. Na wat tijd om rond te lopen en de beroemde foto te maken, maken we de weg terug naar beneden. Ga vervolgens naar het mythische Maracanã-voetbalstadion en bekijk de imposante façade. Ga verder naar het legendarische Sambódromo waar de jaarlijkse carnavalsoptocht plaatsvindt. Bezoek de Metropolitan Cathedral van Rio, een moderne structuur beïnvloed door Maya-piramides. Bekijk de felgekleurde tegels van de wereldberoemde Selarón-trappen in Lapa. Bezoek Sugar Loaf in de mooie wijk Urca en bekijk een van de meest iconische natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden in Rio en de wereld. Ga met de kabelbaan in twee etappes naar de top. Geniet van het mooiste en meest panoramische uitzicht van Rio de Janeiro om je tour te beëindigen.

Als je de wijk Cosme Velho bereikt, neem je een unieke Zwitserse tandradtrein die de berg beklimt van de basis tot bijna de top. De top wordt bereikt door een trap te beklimmen om bij het iconische standbeeld van Christus de Verlosser te komen. Het uitzicht, vanaf dit uitkijkpunt, met het omliggende Tijuca National Forest dat zich naar beneden uitstrekt en een cirkel van bergen die de horizon helemaal achter in de baai van Guanabara sluiten, is werkelijk spectaculair. Na een tijdje rondgelopen te hebben en foto's te maken, gaan we terug naar beneden.
Van Santa Teresa tot Lapa zijn er de beroemde Selaron-trappen, een trap versierd met kleurrijke tegels. "Lapa" staat bekend om zijn energieke Boheemse sfeer en is het meest bruisende gebied in de stad, zowel overdag als 's nachts.
Heb je ooit gehoord van de wijk Lapa? Zo niet, dan moet het! Het is heel gemakkelijk om te weten dat u in Lapa bent aangekomen. Er is een beroemd monument dat het officiële beeld is van Lapa, de grote witte bogen aquaduct ansichtkaart van Rio.
Loop door het centrum van Rio door enkele van de coolste toeristische gebieden en ontdek bezienswaardigheden en cultuur tot het Mauá-plein. De wandeling gaat langs historische bezienswaardigheden, veel bars en restaurants en komt aan op het Mauá-plein waar alle stammen en mensen samenkomen.
Zie een andere kant van Rio in het opkomende Porto Maravilha-gebied, symbool van het vernieuwde Rio na de Olympische Spelen.
Bewonder de prachtige hypermoderne museumstructuur, ontworpen door de beroemde architect Santiago Calatrava.
Muurschildering geschilderd door Eduardo Kobra, door het Guinness Book of Records vermeld als de grootste graffiti ter wereld.
De Metropolitan Cathedral van Rio de Janeiro valt op tussen de gebouwen in het centrum van de stad. De unieke architectuur trekt de aandacht van iedereen die langskomt en verrast degenen die het bezoeken! Het uiterlijk en de geschiedenis zijn onconventioneel en maken het een van de meest merkwaardige plekken in de prachtige stad!
De Sambodrome is de thuisbasis van het carnaval van Rio, waar de parades elk jaar gedurende drie nachten plaatsvinden, een betonnen structuur die speciaal voor het carnaval is gebouwd. Het is een laan met tribunes aan beide kanten, verdeeld in sectoren.
De belangrijkste Braziliaanse voetbaltempel. Landschap van belangrijke Braziliaanse voetbalklassiekers en feiten, zoals het hosten van de laatste wedstrijden voor het Wereldkampioenschap voetbal 1950 en 2014 en de Olympische finale voetbalwedstrijd in 2014.
We gaan dan de Suikerbroodberg op. Een reeks van twee kabelbanen brengt je naar de top van Sugar Loaf. Op de top weer een van de meest adembenemende uitzichten van Rio, dit keer vanuit een ander uitkijkpunt dan bij Corcovado. Daarna kunnen toeristen genieten van een lunch in een heel leuk steakhouse-restaurant met onbeperkt buffet (niet inbegrepen).
Ga langs het strand van Copacabana dat werd geïnspireerd door liedjes en poëzie, en een van de beroemdste ansichtkaarten in Brazilië. Copacabana is ook het toneel van een van de grootste oudejaarsavond ter wereld, de buurt van Rio de Janeiro heeft veel geschiedenis, cultureel leven en bohemen.

Our ship was delayed in docking, but our guide and driver were still waiting 3 hours after we were able to dock. Guide Antonio (call me Tony) was one of the best we have experienced using Viator. Even though we had missed our scheduled time at Sugarloaf Mountain, his familiarity with the Mountain lines and Mountain staff allowed us to take advantage of the skip the line (best choice we made prior to arriving in Rio…recommend you do skip the line for the Mountain and Christ The Redeemer—and do it well before you arrive in Rio as times for skip the line sell out). Tony went everywhere with us and explained what we were seeing as well as where to stand to take the best pictures. We did not have tickets for Christ The Redeemer as skip the line was sold out, but Tony’s contacts at the site arranged for us to skip the line and a good thing as lines were long and visitors plentiful. Again Tony went with us and we have some excellent photos of the site. Then we experienced the Lapa Steps. Carnaval was in full swing and we were treated to the parades and mingling with locals enjoying the party. Tony also even made sure that we had pictures of ourselves at the sights and at the Lapa Steps. We also have to give excellent marks to our driver, Marcello. Don’t drive in Rio during Carnaval yourself. This was one of the best tours we have had with Viator and Tony and Marcello are the reasons.

We had a great tour with Romo and this company. Ahead of time they advised us to get the skip the line tickets for Christ the Redeemer statue and then the regular ticket starting 2 to 3 hours after the planned time for the Redeemer tour and that was excellent advice. Romo was able to help us snaking through the many lines, skip the usual, longest lines with his many years of experience. This was even true on Sugarloaf Mountain where we did not have an express pass but having a guide who knew many people there made it just as seamless and quick. Even with the the tour guide and these tickets bought in advance you should plan that it will take 4 to 5 hours to see both Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf Mountain. However some of that's because the distances between the base where you get on and how far it is to get up to the top of the two places. He enabled us to get great views overlooking many beaches including boca cabana, the city , today and the ocean. At our request we also saw several large and his historic churches including the Benedictine Monastery with the gold leaf over all the walls and ceiling, the Metropolitan cathedral which is shaped like a pyramid and seats 20,000 people. And while our driver was driving all around the city and did a great job of pointing out various points of interest, slowing down to talk about them, stopping to let us take pictures, etc. Could not imagine a better tour guide for this 7 hour tour. The only negative had to do with our transportation. We the four of us rode in a Ford Explorer equivalent so we had plenty of room. And although it looked nice from the outside it was very well worn on the inside. Also, the air conditioning quit working during the course of the tour , although with the windows down and the car moving we were still comfortable even with temperatures in the '80s and humidity in the 90s. Strongly recommend the company refurbished the interior and obviously fix the air conditioning. And the suspension also seems to need an upgrade as I suspect the shocks etc I have not been changed in many miles.

This was a fantastic finish to our short trip to Rio! We booked the 7 hour private tour on our last day with pick up at our Lemme hotel and drop off at GIG airport. The best tour in Rio , Camila was really professional and nice , we had a very tight schedule but she managed to take us to many places in Rio , all amazing and it’s definitely not our last trip to Rio or going with Camila 🌷

This was an amazing private tour in Rio de Janiero. Our guide, Carlos, met us as soon as we were off of the ship and took us to our van. The van was roomy, comfortable and well air conditioned. They provided bottled water for the duration of the tour. We visited places not normally frequented by tourists and ended our day seeing the Christ the Redeemer statue. They dropped us off at the airport in time for our flights home. Overall, this was an amazing tour and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rio.
