Ondanks dat ze in het hogere prijssegment vallen, beschrijft een meerderheid van de gasten deze tour als het hoogtepunt van hun bezoek aan Noorwegen en het is de populairste privétour van Bergens omdat: 1: De deskundige schipper: De tour wordt geleid door een ervaren schipper die humoristisch en informatief commentaar geeft op de geschiedenis, cultuur en natuurlijke omgeving van de regio, waardoor diepte en context wordt toegevoegd aan de mooie uitzichten. 2: Geweldig voor mensen op een cruiseschip: De tour is zo georganiseerd dat cruisereizigers met een kort verblijf in Bergen even weg zijn van de drukte en op tijd terug zijn voor vertrek. 3: Het adembenemende landschap: Eerdere reizigers hebben het ongelooflijke uitzicht op de goed verborgen fjorden en kustlijn geprezen waar ze tijdens deze tour naartoe worden gebracht. Ophalen in Bergen (Hotel of Airbnb) Uw dag begint op een gemakkelijke manier : we halen u op waar u ook verblijft in het centrum van Bergen. Geen ontmoetingspunt stress, geen taxi's, niet raden. U stapt gewoon naar buiten en wij zorgen voor de rest.
Boarding & “de fjord wordt privé” Dit is waar de dag keert van auto transfer / sightseeing naar echte fjord onderdompeling. We stappen aan boord van onze speciaal gebouwde Ponton / Zodiac, ontworpen voor efficiëntie en een lichte voetafdruk, en gaan een fjordgebied in dat opmerkelijk onaangetast blijft omdat er maar weinig mensen zijn die het ooit bereiken. Denk : minder drukte, meer stilte, meer “hoe is dit echt?” momenten.
Twin waterval van de zee De fjord buigt, de kliffen stijgen op, en plotseling valt er een dubbele waterval recht in het water van hoog boven. Vanaf het land is het indrukwekkend. Vanaf de zee, met het geluid dat weerkaatst tussen rotswanden, voelt het alsof je in een verborgen amfitheater bent gestrompeld dat door de natuur is gebouwd.
De wegloze fjordarm. Nu voeren we het geheime ingrediënt in: Veafjorden. Een smalle, dramatische fjordarm met torenhoge kliffen en smaragdgroen water, en bijna geen tekenen van modern leven. Geen snelweg lawaai. Geen tour-bus ritme. Precies het soort landschap dat de meeste reizigers nooit zien omdat er simpelweg geen weg te volgen is. Dit is de stop die “mooie fjordentocht” verandert in “beste dag van de hele reis”.
In het dorp Stamnes heb je de mogelijkheid om foto's te maken van een echt Vikingschip en kun je de "Brørvikskuto" zien, die is gebouwd op scheepsbouwtradities die meer dan 1200 jaar terug gaan. Tegelijkertijd sta je aan de wieg van het Noorse zalmerfgoed dat heeft geleid tot de export van Noorse gekweekte zalm die zijn weg vindt naar alle uithoeken van de wereld. Luister naar hoe het allemaal gebeurde van de lachende schipper.
8.000 jaar menselijk verhaal Dit is waar uw fjord dag diepte wint. Skipshelleren is een oude steentijdplaats waar mensen duizenden jaren leefden voordat Noorwegen zelfs maar een gedachte was. Je kijkt niet meer alleen naar landschappen. Je stapt in een tijdlijn die 8.000 jaar teruggaat. Stil. Krachtig. Onvergetelijk.
De hartslag van de fjord in beweging. Een smalle uitlaat. Een plotselinge piek. De fjord verplaatst zich hier letterlijk. Bolstadstraumen is één van de sterkste getijdenstromen in de regio, en je voelt de energie in het water als het doorstroomt alsof de fjord ademt. Het is een korte stop, maar het komt hard aan, want het is rauwe natuur, van dichtbij.
Eindlanding + mooie terugkeer per trein of auto We landen in een klein landelijk fjordendorpje waar het water samenkomt met de Vosso rivier, de thuisbasis van legendarische Atlantische zalm. Dan, in plaats van dezelfde route terug te volgen, eindigt je dag op de slimme manier: Een enkele reis schilderachtige terugkeer naar Bergen met de trein (of prive-voertuig afhankelijk van timing). Je krijgt uitzicht op de fjorden vanuit een nieuwe hoek en een rustige, mooie landing terug in de stad. Geen repetitieve “zelfde fjord twee keer” rit. Gewoon een compleet verhaal van begin tot eind.
Station Bergen (Eindhalte in het hart van de stad) Uw terugkeer eindigt bij het treinstation van Bergen, midden in het centrum van Bergen. Vanaf hier bent u slechts enkele minuten verwijderd van de meest centrale hotels van de stad en de cruisehaven. Als u bagage heeft of liever niet loopt, staan taxi's altijd voor de deur voor een snelle en gemakkelijke rit.

SEIZOENSGEBONDEN PICK-UP DETAILS (17 maart – 1 oktober 2026) Om uw tijd in het mooiste deel van de fjord te maximaliseren, begint deze ervaring met een ontspannen en schilderachtige transfer (privéauto of trein) van het centrum van Bergen naar onze rustige opstapplaats (ongeveer 55-60 minuten). Bij aankomst trek je thermische drijfpakken aan die zijn ontworpen om je warm, comfortabel en volledig op je gemak te houden voordat je aan boord gaat. Van daaruit is de ervaring zorgvuldig ontworpen rond één kernprincipe: comfort zonder compromissen. Wij werken met zowel pontonboten als starre opblaasbare boten (RIB/Zodiac), waarbij we altijd de opstelling selecteren die het beste past bij het weer en uw groep: Pontonboot : langzaam, uiterst stabiel, met luxe ligstoelen — ideaal voor wie wil ontspannen, van het landschap wil genieten en tijdens de reis volledig comfortabel wil blijven RIB/Zodiac : dynamischer, maar nog steeds met een gecontroleerde kruissnelheid (~23 knopen) om impact, blootstelling aan wind en vermoeidheid te verminderen In tegenstelling tot veel snelle boottochten waarbij gasten op zadelstoelen moeten blijven zitten of zich schrap moeten zetten tegen golven, kunt u met deze ervaring te allen tijde comfortabel zitten met volledige rugondersteuning. Het is niet nodig om te staan, stevig vast te houden of constante impact te absorberen — in plaats daarvan kunt u aanwezig, warm en volledig ondergedompeld blijven in het fjordlandschap. While I ended up not doing this adventure, I do want to rate my experience. I inadvertently booked the boat completely to myself which was outside my budget.While I was working to correct it, they had received the reservation and quickly got to work reserving rides, train tickets and moving the boat from Bergen to where the tour actually starts. They invested time and money assuming it was a viable booking. The next morning when all the communications made their way to the right people, they were faced with maintaining the nonrefund policy. They worked with me toward a fair solution and refunded the majority of the payment while understandably asked to be compensated for the time, effort and money they invested. We came to a good compromise. They were very friendly throughout the process. My only regret was not being able to go! Next time :)
Our family of 4 (two kids ages 11 and 14) had a wonderful time with Bjorn in the fjords. The gear that was given to us kept us warm. There were many things to love including the exhilarating ( although completely safe) speed of the boat, the majestic scenery, and Bjorn’s descriptive commentary. He really kept the whole family engaged for the entire excursion. We would highly recommend it to anyone even slightly considering this!
We spent a wonderful and cheerful day on Bjørn’s boat, sightseeing some spectacular places. The atmosphere on board was great, perhaps due to the boat being the perfect size for a smaller group. We had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful local nature, meeting other travellers, and combining the experience with a delicious lunch served out on the water at Bjørn’s hidden gem.

Bjorn has designed this tour with great thought and care. It is well-paced and so informative! We did this amazing experience with our kids age (6-11). At first our youngest was trepidatious, but Bjorn reassured her and she had a blast. We did this tour some days ago, and all three kids have raved about it fondly every day since then. The fjords themselves are so majestic and mind-blowing, but having someone like Bjorn take you into the geology/history/sociology of the area gives you a next-level appreciation of this magical place. Highly recommend.
The fjord pontoon boat tour with Bjørn was, without a doubt, the highlight of me and my friend’s trip to Norway. If I could recommend only one activity to anyone visiting Norway, it would be this tour. Amelia picked us up right on time, and the drive to the boat was enjoyable in itself. She shared fascinating insights about life in Norway, which made the journey both informative and entertaining. Bjørn was our guide, and he was exceptional. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather, so the thermal suits were not necessary. His knowledge of Norway’s history and the fjords was impressive, and he presented it in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. We were on a fjord tour this weekend, and it was a really great experience. The tour went through amazing western nature with beautiful fjords and beautiful surroundings all the way. The guide was very knowledgeable and told many interesting stories and facts along the way. At the same time, he had a good dose of humor and was not afraid to draw a joke in new and new, which made the trip both educational and entertaining. The boat was very comfortable, stable and spacious, with good seats and space for nine people. It made the trip feel relaxed and comfortable from start to finish. There was also time for lunch in a barbecue cabin that is located in the middle of the fjord. This is a trip I can really recommend to anyone who wants to experience the fjords in a personal, relaxed and enjoyable way. I stay with many good memories and will be happy to come back on a later occasion. 😊🚤🏔️

Absolutely worth every penny! I will start by saying the weather was pretty miserable when we took our tour. However, when a place has more than 200 days of rain you don’t really expect it to be sunny like the pictures. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to a site outside of town to start the tour which was lovely and much better than starting in town. Bjorn had everything prepared including warm vests, body suits and rain jackets, when we arrived and suited up and went out. There was a bit more fog than we expected but it gave everything a very mystical appearance and was still breathtaking in its own way. Bjorn was happy, energetic and very informative. The clothing given was immensely helpful and kept us very warm minus our feet because we were not smart enough to bring waterproof shoes (except my husband!). Minus seeing one other small boat with a biologist in it, we were the only one’s on the water which made it even more amazing. The boat is smaller so he could go places bigger tour boats could never do and you get to see so much isolated beauty. Such a great day and everyone loved it. Would 100% recommend this tour if you are in Bergen!

Sunshine is wonderful, of course, but fog, rain and low clouds can give the landscape a completely different kind of magic. More quiet, more mysterious, and often even more memorable. I’m really glad the warm gear, flotation suits, heated vests and rain jackets helped keep everyone comfortable. Out here, being properly dressed is what allows you to relax and enjoy the experience instead of fighting the weather. Feet are always the tricky part, though, so your waterproof-shoe lesson is a useful one for future guests! What makes this tour special to me is exactly what you described: leaving Bergen behind, starting from a quieter place outside the city, and entering fjords where we can often travel for hours without seeing anyone else on the water. A small boat lets us explore hidden corners that the larger boats simply cannot reach, and I’m grateful you felt the value of that. I took this trip with my friends (all women!) and we had a great time. Bjorn was a great story teller and excellent driver. We very much enjoyed being picked up from Bergen and not having to deal with travel to or from. This was a very special experience that I would recommend to any one who loves nature and wants to see Norway from the water.
We took two fjord tours - one on a bigger boat combined with the Flam railway and this tour, private, on a zodiac pontoon boat. NO comparison. This one is full of interesting information, access to fjords you’ll never see on a big boat, and unique experiences like seeing salmon fishing up close or peering down through the water to an actual shipwreck from 400 years ago. If you really want to see and learn about fjords - this is the tour! Highlight of our entire trip!
