Gion is de beroemdste geishawijk van Kyoto, bekend om zijn traditionele houten machiyahuizen, theehuizen en bewaard gebleven historische straten. Het is een plek waar bezoekers de charme van het oude Kyoto kunnen ervaren en soms een glimp opvangen van een geisha of maiko op weg naar een avondverloving.
Hanami-koji is een beroemde straat in de wijk Gion in Kyoto waar je de kans hebt om geisha en maiko tegen te komen. Bekend om zijn traditionele theehuizen, historische ambiance en houten machiya huizen, biedt het een kijkje in het elegante verleden van Kyoto en de geisha cultuur.
Het Yasui Konpira-heiligdom in Kyoto staat bekend als een van de krachtigste heiligdommen van Japan voor het verbreken van slechte relaties. Bezoekers komen naar het heiligdom om te bidden voor het einde van negatieve banden en om nieuwe, positieve verbindingen te vinden.

Vanwege zijn geschiedenis en landschap is het een van de weinige tempels die door UNESCO als werelderfgoed is erkend.
Yasaka Koshindo is een mysterieuze tempel van onbekende bouwdatum. De kleurrijke decoraties hier zijn verbluffend, omdat veel tempels van ingetogen kleuren zijn. De schoonheid van de kleuren maakt het een populaire fotoplek voor jongeren.
Onze eindbestemming is Yasaka Shrine, het hoofdkwartier van 2.300 gerelateerde heiligdommen in heel Japan. Dit historische heiligdom, gewijd aan de goden van welvaart en bescherming, is al eeuwenlang een vitaal onderdeel van het culturele erfgoed van Kyoto.

Yui is the best tour guide I’ve had in any of the countries I’ve been to. She took amazing photos, was so friendly, and super knowledgeable. I cannot recommend this tour enough. I’d book another tour with her any time!

We did the 7am morning tour before the crowds. Our guide Ikki was not only a guide but also our professional photographer for the morning. He explained everything in detail and his knowledge was amazing. The photos he took turned out amazing

The tour was above my expectation. We had to wake up early to get to see, on a relaxed way, all the good spots on Kyoto. But it was definitly worth it. Ikki-san was a wonderful and joyful tour guide. We had a great time visiting the main spots of Kyoto.
