HET IS EEN PRIVÉTOUR VOOR JOU. HET IS GEEN GROEPSREIS. ONTDEK DE AANBETALING MET EEN TOERISTISCHE GIDS Efeze was de best bewaarde oude stad in Klein-Azië. Tijdens de eerste en tweede eeuw telde het land 250.000 inwoners en monopoliseerde het de rijkdom van het Midden-Oosten. We bezoeken de kerk van de Maagd Maria, vermoedelijk de laatste rustplaats van de moeder van Jezus. We zullen de Tempel van Artemis zien, een van de zeven wonderen van de antieke wereld.

We ontmoeten elkaar op de luchthaven van Izmir, of de cruisehaven van Kuşadası, of hotels in Izmir, Kusadası
We bezochten de plaats waar de Maagd Maria haar laatste jaren heeft doorgebracht en zijn opgevaren naar de hemel. We dronken wijwater en bezochten zijn huisje.
Het is het hoogtepunt van Efeze. Oude huizen met hun eigen centrale verwarming, Romeinse baden, latrines en prachtige fresco's, mozaïeken en graffiti. Bezienswaardig.
We bezoeken de best bewaarde Grieks-Romeinse stad van Europa en Azië. De bibliotheek van Celsus, de tempel van Trajanus, de latrines, het grote theater met een capaciteit van 25.000 mensen, de poort van Hercules en nog veel meer bevinden zich op de plaats van Efeze
Indien nodig kunt u een leerfabriek, keramiek-aardewerk of een lokaal restaurant bezoeken om te eten. Voor meer informatie kunt u de gids raadplegen.
Het was een van de zeven wonderen van de antieke wereld. Wat jammer dat het in puin ligt, maar we bezochten de bases met zijn geschiedenis en het panoramische uitzicht op Selçuk.

We had an incredible day visiting the ruins in Ephesus and the Virgin Mary’s house. Both sites are truly breathtaking and a treat for those who love history and landmarks of biblical significance. We also thoroughly enjoyed the context provided by our tour guide Hakan, who was highly experienced and knowledgeable and was able to communicate important facts about both sites to our family in both English and Spanish. Hakan was incredibly friendly and engaging and we highly recommend!!

We had an amazing day exploring the beautiful roman ruins of Ephesus and the house of Virgin Mary! A million thanks to our excellent tour guide Hakan, who provided commentary in both english AND spanish for our group!! Also Hakan was very comical and he was happy to answer all of our questions and teach us about Turkish culture! He picked us up right on time from the Izmir port and the car was very fancy and clean! We returned with plenty of time back to our cruise ship, after a stress-free enjoyable day! :) The ruins themselves were an impressive sight to behold! Loved every minute of this tour, so worth it if you’re in Izmir for a day!
