Drie hoofdsteden van het oude Egypte op één dag, in chronologische volgorde, met een gediplomeerde Egyptoloog die ze verbindt met het eigenlijke verhaal. Je begint in Memphis, de oorspronkelijke hoofdstad van het Oude Koninkrijk waar het kolossale kalkstenen beeld van Ramses II in het openluchtmuseum staat. Dan naar Saqqara, de koninklijke necropolis waar de Step Piramide van Djoser, de allereerste piramide ooit gebouwd, uit de woestijn oprijst. Uiteindelijk naar Gizeh, waar de piramidevorm zijn monumentale hoogtepunt bereikte met de Grote Piramide van Khufu, de Sfinx en een kameelrit langs de bergkam. Lunch inbegrepen in een kwaliteitsrestaurant. Dit is dé tour voor reizigers die willen zien hoe de oude Egyptische beschaving zich eigenlijk ontwikkelde, niet alleen het iconische ansichtkaartbeeld. Je tour begint in Memphis, de oorspronkelijke hoofdstad van het Oude Koninkrijk van het oude Egypte. Het openluchtmuseum richt zich op het kolossale kalkstenen beeld van Ramses II dat op zijn rug ligt, met de albasten sfinx en andere artefacten die in de omliggende tuin zijn opgesteld. Je egyptoloog legt uit hoe Memphis eeuwenlang over Egypte heerste voordat de hoofdstad naar het noorden verhuisde.
Op naar Saqqara, de koninklijke begraafplaats die Memphis diende. Je ziet de Stappenpiramide van Djoser, de allereerste piramide ooit gebouwd, ontworpen door de architect Imhotep rond 2.650 v.Chr. Uw egyptoloog legt uit hoe de stappenpiramide evolueerde tot de gladzijdige piramides van Gizeh die u hierna zult zien.
Je gaat verder naar het plateau van Gizeh, waar de piramidevorm zijn monumentale piek bereikte. Je staat aan de voet van de Grote Piramide van Khufu, hoort de bouwtheorieën en hebt tijd op het panoramische uitzichtpunt.
Je laatste stop is de Grote Sfinx van Gizeh, plus je inbegrepen 15 tot 20 minuten durende kameelrit langs de woestijnrug met een gediplomeerde begeleider, de piramides achter je ingelijst voor foto's. Je egyptoloog legt uit wat de betwiste leeftijd van de Sfinx is en wat het eigenlijk voorstelt.

With Jessy the whole day was a very nice memory!! I felt so safe and comfortable, I would do the tour with her again every time! Everything is taken care of before you think about it and the lectures on the incredible places we visited were very informative but also very easy to understand. Our private tour with guide Sara and driver Ahmed was the perfect way to experience the pyramids of Giza and Sakkara. The tour guide was great. He was patient, friendly and accommodating. However there was a mixup with booking. What we booked was tour with lunch and camel ride.However the agent, Egypt day tours said the lunch and camel ride was not included. He was consistent that we have not booked the tour with the extras.

Ayoub our tour guide was great. He had planned the whole day to miss all of the crowds to allow us a more personalized visit. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and took time to explain each locations history in great detail. He also was kind enough to stop to get us drinks, several times during the tour. The driver Sfeena, perfectly navigated us through the busy Cairo streets. Carefully picking us up at locations to minimize unnecessary additional walking, which in hot Cairo weather is appreciated.
It was a wonderfull experience. The agency arranged everything nicely and our guide Ahmed (Amadeo) was excelent.

Our trip was great. Our tour guide Mina Wafsy was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Took us everywhere we wanted to go and allowed us to spend as much time at each place as needed. Would highly recommend!

We had the best time while in Egypt and loved working with Egypt Day Tours. They were excellent and reasonably priced! We found them reliable, attentive and very accomodating. They took care of everything. Our tour guide, Hosny, was the best. Friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about all things Egyptian. We did two days of tours with him while in Cairo. The full-day trip to Giza pyramids, Sakkara, and Memphis and the 2nd day we did the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Muhammed Ali Mosque as well as several churches. I want to go back and will definitely use them again.
