Te Mercado del puerto, heerlijk!! Dit is een grote 19e-eeuwse markt vol met drukke restaurants die gespecialiseerd zijn in vlees. Deze plek is optioneel als reizigers geïnteresseerd zijn in een klassieke Uruguayaanse Parrillada (barbecue).
Wandelen (optioneel) Het Zabalaplein, vernoemd naar de stichter van Montevideo, beschikt over tuinen ontworpen door de Franse landschapsarchitect Édouard André. De tuinen zijn omsloten door ijzeren hekken en poorten. Het plein wordt omringd door Ring Durango Street, genoemd naar de wijk waar Zabala werd geboren. Aan de zuidkant van het plein ligt het Taranco Paleis, de thuisbasis van het Museum voor Decoratieve Kunsten.
We kunnen dit deel te voet verkennen. Het Plaza de la Constitución, ook bekend als Plaza Matriz (kathedraal), ligt in Montevideo, Uruguay, in het hart van de historische wijk Oude Stad. Oorspronkelijk diende het als de Plaza Mayor van de vestingstad San Felipe en Santiago de Montevideo, en was het de enige open openbare ruimte die speciaal voor dat doel was ontworpen.
Plaza Independencia is het belangrijkste plein in Montevideo, Uruguay. Gelegen in het centrum van de stad, het bezet de ruimte die ooit werd gehouden door de Citadel van Montevideo. In het centrum staat het monument en mausoleum van generaal José Gervasio Artigas. Rondom het plein staan verschillende historische gebouwen, waaronder het iconische Palacio Salvo, een prachtig voorbeeld van eclectische architectuur en een van de hoogste gebouwen in Zuid-Amerika toen het in 1928 werd voltooid. De architectuur en bezienswaardigheden van het plein vangen het rijke culturele erfgoed van Montevideo.
De Rambla de Montevideo is een vierentwintig kilometer lange laan die grenst aan de kust van de Río de la Plata in Montevideo, de hoofdstad van Uruguay.
Het Wetgevend Paleis is het hoofdkwartier van de Wetgevende Macht van Uruguay. De Algemene Vergadering is daar gevestigd, die bestaat uit twee kamers die afzonderlijk of gezamenlijk vergaderen, afhankelijk van de omstandigheden: het Huis van Afgevaardigden en de Kamer van Senatoren. Een indrukwekkende aanwezigheid in de stad. U kunt het niet missen het toegangskaartje voor het Wetgevend Paleis kost $3.
Na het passeren van het Batlle Park bezoeken we het Estadio Centenario, een must see in Montevideo. Uruguay was de eerste wereldkampioen en het Centenial Stadium was de gastheer voor de filals. Ook kunnen reizigers elke andere buurt aanvragen.
Prado is een rustige en exclusieve woonwijk die bekend staat om het uitgestrekte park met dezelfde naam, waar bezoekers wandelen tussen inheemse en exotische planten in de botanische tuin en rozen die rond stenen bogen in El Rosedal zijn geplant. Er zijn nog meer tuinen bij het Blanes-museum, een 19e-eeuws chalet dat nu een museum voor Uruguayaanse kunst is. Las Carmelitas is een veel gefotografeerde kerk, gebouwd in de jaren twintig. Plus de Japanse tuin.
Verschillende plaatsen (zoals Carrasto, de crème van Montevideo9 en andere functies op basis van uw interesses kunnen worden toegevoegd, zoals Wijnmakerij, Wijngaard tours, Estancia's tours en profetional fotografie om deze geweldige ervaring op te slaan.
Het General Artigas Fort of Fort van de Cerro de Montevideo is een oud fort van Uruguay gebouwd in 1808 op bevel van gouverneur Francisco Javier de Elío. Het wordt beschouwd als een van de belangrijkste symbolen van het land en de hoofdstad.

Favio is an incredible person to show you the history, the architecture, the art and the different neighborhood and culture of Montevideo as a city and Uruguay as a country. He is extremely knowledge, flexible to adapt the tour to your interest and willing to give you plenty of advice on restaurants and additional places that you may want to visit on your own. Had an incredible tour with Favio, who brought Montevideo to life in the most engaging way. This was a brilliant guided tour with Paola and driver Alviro. Message on the morning about where to meet, several stops where we got out and walked around with useful information about the area. She coped well with my husband’s wish for shopping and could help with questions to the stall holders. We got to see annual ceremony changing guard. Views from top of City Hall were incredible. Got to see so many ch of old and new part. Ate at indoor market and tried local food which we would not have done by ourselves Highly recommend this tour

We had a perfect day in Montevideo with a local. This tour is a highlight of our trip and honestly one of the best we have ever had! Fabio is very knowledgeable about history and sights but more impressive is his ability to share the warmth of the people.
