Hij is maar liefst 71 meter hoog en geeft aan hoe belangrijk deze religie was in het oude China. Een privévoertuig haalt je op bij je hotel in Chengdu en neemt je mee op een rit van twee uur naar de Leshan Grand Buddha. Bij aankomst in Leshan maakt u een boottocht op de rivier. Na een bezoek aan dit werelderfgoed, rijd je naar de volgende werelderfgoedlocatie - Mt.Emei.
Na aankomst op Mt. Emei neemt u een shuttlebus naar de Wannian-tempel. Vervolgens neemt u een kabelbaan om het grootste deel van de wandeling rechtstreeks naar deze indrukwekkende boeddhistische tempel te vermijden. Dompel jezelf onder in het prachtige natuurlijke landschap en adem de frisse lucht in, vergeet al je problemen.

The quality of the tours booked through Viator has definitely decreased. This will be the last time we use Viator. They probably do not vet the tours themselves. Yes, there was a private tour guide and a private car, but it was an old Chinese electric car that was used. Don’t expect travel in comfort.
It's a pity that you didn't have very good experience on your trip, it's a long hard trip with quite a long time on the way, total about 8 hours in the car and excursion Bus, because need to visit two places in one day, which most people do the same trip for 2 or 3 days, for electric car, total get popular in China in recent 3 or 4 years, i can say nothing if you thought it's old.
Rosie our tour guide was incredible we went with my parents and she’s was more than patient friendly and accommodating of my parents age. Excellent English, very knowledgeable and narrates the tour with lots of information. Stunning views and experience we went in March, early start from Chengdu but well worth the travel. We arrived at the shuttle bus station at the base of the mountain in dry conditons, as we gained elevation the snow on the surround grew and grew (road was well gritted). Walked through a foggy snowy winter forest to the cable car. Due to the snow it was a bit slippy in places, Rosy managed the tour and didn’t rush us. As the cable car broke through the clouds we understood why it was called the Golden summit, beautifully sunny and clear, the mountains poking through the cloud base. Beautiful Budda and temples at the summit. Traditional authentic Lunch was very good and delicious The giant Buddha at leshan is very imposing and impressive from the boat. We arrived after dark and saw the Buddha lit up at night which was spectacular. A long day but well worth it. If you’re lucky to get Rosy as a tour guide you are in safe hands.
