Voor groepen van maximaal 4, 8 of 16 passagiers biedt deze privédagtrip vanuit York, alleen voor uw gezelschap, de mogelijkheid om Bronte Country en het Yorkshire Dales National Park te verkennen, inclusief het West Yorkshire Pennine Village van Haworth (beroemd gemaakt door de gezusters Bronte en de thuisbasis van het Bronte Parsonage Museum), Bingley Five Rise Locks (het meest spectaculaire kenmerk van het Leeds and Liverpool Canal), het traditionele Yorkshire Dales-dorp Linton (met zijn stenen bruggen en kalkstenen watervallen), Bolton Abbey (waar u de prachtige omgeving van de ruïnes van het 12e-eeuwse Augustijnenklooster zult zien); en genieten van het spectaculaire landschap van het Yorkshire Dales National Park.

We gaan op weg naar Bronte Country, waar je gids je vertelt over de geschiedenis en kenmerken van het gebied terwijl je Marston Moor oversteekt, door het traditionele marktstadje Wetherby gaat en het spectaculaire Arthington-viaduct over de rivier Wharfe ziet.
Onze eerste stop is bij de Bingley Five Rise Locks, waar u de hoogste trapslot van het Verenigd Koninkrijk ziet, een spectaculaire prestatie van engineering gebouwd in 1774 als onderdeel van het kanaal van Leeds en Liverpool. U kunt de werkende sloten verkennen en fotograferen, of gewoon genieten van een ontspannen Yorkshire Brew en genieten van de lokale sfeer in het nabijgelegen café - de keuze is aan u!
We verlaten Bingley voor de korte reis naar onze hoofdstop op Haworth, aan de rand van de ruige Pennine Moors, waar de familie Bronte vanaf 1820 woonde en de zusters hun beroemde romans schreven, voor een tussenstop van twee uur. Je kunt het Bronte Parsonage Museum en de Bronte Memorial Chapel bezoeken in de nabijgelegen kerk waar hun vader predikte, of gewoon de leuke winkeltjes aan de geplaveide hoofdstraat verkennen en een ontspannen lunch nuttigen in een van de traditionele cafés - de keuze is aan jou!
We verlaten Haworth en gaan omhoog naar Penistone Hill voor een fotostop om het uitzicht op de heide richting Top Withens te bewonderen, waar de Bronte Sisters liepen om inspiratie op te doen voordat we naar het noorden gaan voor onze middag in het Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Je komt aan in het pittoreske, traditionele Dales-dorp Linton, waar we stoppen voor foto's van Linton Falls voordat we onze reis door het Nationaal Park vervolgen.
De belangrijkste middagstop is in Bolton Abbey, waar de toegang gratis is en je de Priorijkerk en ruïnes van de 12e-eeuwse Augustijnse Priorij in zijn prachtige omgeving aan de rivier kunt verkennen, of misschien de stapstenen uitdaging aangaat als je je avontuurlijker voelt !
We verlaten Bolton Abbey en vervolgen onze reis door de Dales terug naar York, passeren door Harrogate en leren een beetje over de geschiedenis van dit beroemde kuuroord.

The sceneries of Yorkshire dales are spectacular! We all enjoyed the trip tremendously. Mark, our excellent driver and tour guide, was very dedicated. He made extra efforts to maximize what we could see during the 8-hour tour. Absolutely worthwhile!

Charlotte Brontë has a special place in my heart. It was so special for me to visit her home. It really was like stepping into her life. On top of that, we visited the classic Yorkshire town of Grassington for a cuppa. Our guide, Chris, knew this area and was extremely informative and accommodating. Great day.

I loved the little farms separated by hedges and typical scenes out of storybooks, sheep...even experienced the Yorkshire traffic jam of sheep. Wonderful host and a great tour for mobility reduced people. They need a portable step for the van though. That first step up makes it very hard for short or people with mobility issues to get into the van. Easy pick up spot in the city and good long tour. At the end of the day I felt like I had seen it all. Such a knowledgeable and experienced guide, sadly I don't remember his name...unless it was Bob himself. Lots of good stops and good long bathroom breaks so we never felt rushed

Let me preface this by saying I love Viator and have had many wonderful experiences with them. This time we Toured the parsonage at Haworth and explored the Yorkshire dales. This has been a lifelong dream to visit the home of the Brontes and see the moors. It was a beautiful day. Unfortunately, the regular driver had a medical emergency and we had a substitute driver. He was lovely but didn't know much about the Brontes. Still a great day but I feel I would've learned more with the regular driver so that was a bit of a disappointment for an expensive private tour. I understand emergencies can't be helped but perhaps a backup who is more familiar with the tour or a price cut? Nevertheless, it was wonderful to see Haworth.
Howard was our guide. He was awesome and the best. Funny, kind, informative, and he made the trip wonderful. We loved his sense of humor and he was so knowledgeable of the area. This was an amazing day. Highly recommended!
Now utterly understandable why Yorkshire is called "God's own country". Fabolous tour brilliantly explained. Punctual, excellent & considerate driving. Mark is a top class guide, and the service from the beginning with BOBH great. Thank you BOBH folks for making 2 of my 5 day holiday so very good. (But be warned: you are encouraged to eat ice cream...). Every detail that I could have asked for in a day out was 5*. I suggest you book any of their tours well in advance.

A wonderful day out to Haworth Parsonage, returning via beautiful Bolton Abbey. Our driver Howard was punctual, charming, knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed showing off this beautiful part of the world. Would book for similar without hesitation.

I was the only person who had booked this day trip because of going at the very end of November ie right at the end of the season. Mark, the guide and driver was excellent: very knowledgeable and concerned about my comfort. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to go to Haworth and beyond from York.
