Verken enkele van de vele beroemde historische bezienswaardigheden en avontuur over het spectaculaire landschap. Hier maak je een uitstapje naar de badplaats Whitby. Eenmaal aangekomen in de stad heb je vrije tijd om de historische stad te verkennen en te genieten van de beroemde Fish and Chips. De eerste stop is Byland Abbey om de historische ruïnes te bezoeken, daarna naar het pittoreske dorpje Helmsley.

Bezoek de ruïnes van dit middeleeuwse klooster, doordrenkt van geschiedenis. De overblijfselen vormen een fascinerende stop tijdens de tour.
Geniet van een pauze in dit dorp in Yorkshire, waar u kunt stoppen voor een drankje en de omgeving kunt verkennen. Je hebt ook de mogelijkheid om de kasteelruïnes te bezoeken voor £ 5,80 extra.
Geniet van een mooie rit door het North York Moors National Park, waar u een prachtig uitzicht ziet dat zich kilometers ver uitstrekt.
Stop voor een paar ontspannen uurtjes in deze prachtige kustplaats. Geniet van wereldberoemde fish and chips en slenter door de mooie straten. Je hebt ook de mogelijkheid om de beroemde abdij te bezoeken tijdens je twee uur durende stop hier als je wilt.
Eindig je tour door de North York Moors terug in het hart van de middeleeuwse stad.

A lovely day trip operated by local Mountain Goat (?) and driver Ben. Very informative. Nicely planned stops.
This was a really fun day. Our driver/guide Steve was interesting and friendly and funny. We got to see the Yorkshire Moors, ride an old-fashioned, steam train, and stood at the platform that served as the Hogeade Station in the first Harry Potter film. We also spent a couple of hours at Whitby, a charming town full of history, with a ruined Abbey that has some Dracula connections. Definitely worth the trip!

This small group day trip was excellent! Our driver/tour guide, Steve was terrific!! His historical stories, humor kept us all entertained thru out the trip. We took one of his suggestion to eat lunch at a great seaside restaurant in Whitby. One of the surprises of the trip was the Gothland train station & a ride in the steam train! The beauty & sites of the whole trip was quite memorable. This day trip was worthwhile.

Bob was informative & very friendly. He drove on smaller roads very safely to show places of interest. The minibus was comfortable & air conditioned (the weather was hot!). Plenty of time at each stop & made it clear when to return.

A nice day out in Yorkshire and good introduction to the area. The tour includes a variety of experiences from seeing ruined abbeys to walking the moors to a visit to seaside Whitby. Steven, our guide, really made the experience for me. His wit, charm and interesting stories livened up the driving portions and helped them fly by. My only change would be to make the train ride optional, as it was cute but wasted an hour that could have been better spent with a longer moor walk or more time in Whitby.

Fantastic all around. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and was a gifted storyteller. We stopped at multiple off the beaten track places- ancient churches, ruins, villages. This tour had it all for those wanting historical context and a trip to the Moors and Whitby on the sea.
