In de vluchtige omhelzing van de tijd ontvouwt het enorme tapijt van Ecuador zich voor je. Stel je dit eens voor: een caldera die een uitgestrekte drie kilometer beslaat en waarvan de geboorte een bewijs is van de brute kracht van de natuur, die zo'n acht eeuwen geleden door een cataclysmische uitbarsting uit de aarde is uitgehouwen. En dan de torenhoge majesteit van een van de hoogste actieve vulkanen ter wereld, die als schildwacht van het vurige hart van de natuur staat. Als u even tot rust komt in de historische charme van Quito, bedenk dan dat elke stop op deze reis slechts een kort intermezzo is, slechts 30 minuten. Toch ontvouwen zich in dat halfuur vergezichten van ongeëvenaarde schoonheid, die je uitnodigen om hun essentie vast te leggen in beelden die voor altijd de geest van Ecuador zullen weerspiegelen.

7:20 Vertrek naar Cotopaxi Nationaal Park. We stoppen 30 minuten en je kunt daar genieten van het uitzicht en een aantal mooie foto's maken. (Cotopaxi Het is een perfect symmetrische kegel, bedekt met een dikke deken van sneeuw en ijs, de Cotopaxi is een van de toeristische hoogtepunten in Ecuador en de meest bezochte en beklommen vulkaan).
10.30 uur Vertrek naar Quilotoa Loop. We stoppen 30 minuten en je kunt genieten van het uitzicht en daar een paar mooie foto's maken. (Het is een met water gevulde caldera, gevormd door de ineenstorting van deze dacietvulkaan na een catastrofale VEI-6-uitbarsting ongeveer 800 jaar geleden).
15.30 uur Vertrek naar Quito 18:00 uur We zetten u af bij het Go F.A.R / CarpeDM Operations-kantoor

My dad and I had the best time visiting Cotopaxi Nationalpark and the Quilotoa Loop. The view and the hiking was really diversified and totally worth the effort and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Ecuador. Luckily our tour guide Alejandro was really nice and had a huge knowledge not only on the history of Cotopaxi but also the indigenous people and their language. We had a lots of fun and such a great time together, these two days will hold a special place in our memory on our first trip to Ecuador!
