U wordt opgehaald vanaf de haven van Katakolon of rechtstreeks bij de receptie van uw hotel. De rit naar Olympia duurt ongeveer 45 minuten.
Je hebt ongeveer 2 uur en 30 minuten vrije tijd om door te brengen in Olympia. Tijdens uw bezoek aan het oude Olympia kunt u de site van de eerste Olympische Spelen en het Museum van het oude Olympia verkennen, waar u een opmerkelijke collectie oude artefacten kunt bewonderen (een toeslag van € 180 geldt voor een rondleiding. De Gids moet worden aangevraagd op het moment van boeking en is afhankelijk van beschikbaarheid). U kunt ook de moderne stad Olympia verkennen, waar u traditionele souvenirwinkels kunt bekijken, ontspannen in een van de lokale cafés of genieten van authentieke mediterrane gerechten in een van de charmante taverna's.
Op het afgesproken tijdstip ontmoet u uw chauffeur op het aangewezen punt in Olympia voor uw terugreis. Uw chauffeur zorgt voor een veilige drop-off in de haven van Katakolon, dicht bij uw schip, of bij de receptie van uw hotel.

We contacted Francesco to book transportation from the port to the archaeological site (about 30 minutes away). George guided us on-site and provided us with the main information about Olympia during the trip. We paid €15 per adult and €10 for children. 15€/person from Katakolon To Olympia and back, in time to came back to the cruise. We payd 5€ for the guide and he was very exaustive (he even told us where to eat at low prices). Giorgio is a very intresting guide.

The tour was very informative and organized. But the time we had on the site without the commute was only not enough- only 2 hours 15 minutes. We followed the tour guide for about an hour and then we got free time for around 1 hour and 15 minutes. It's not enough to see both the museum and the archeological site. I wish it was clearly communicated to us beforehand. Apart from that we enjoyed it. There was a photo with the flame arranged by the tour guide at the end.

We would like to clarify that your booking was for the special offer shore excursion (up to 3.5 hours including transportation at €15 per person), and not for the “Private Driver from Katakolon to Ancient Olympia (Self-Guided)” tour, which normally lasts around 5 hours. We do agree that the available free time may not have been enough to fully enjoy both the archaeological site and the museum, and we apologize that this was not clearly communicated in advance.
