Reisroute

This was the highlight of our entire trip. Mike is an outstanding tour guide and we both learned a lot about the events prior to, during, and after D-day.
I can't say how much I enjoyed the tour with you both, thank you for this wonderful review. Thank you for an forgettable experience! Best wishes, Mike
Mike is an awesome guide who really went the extra mile to ensure my family had a wonderful experience following in the footsteps of my wife's grandfather. His research before the day and the planned itinerary were spot on. His pacing and delivery were just right for the wide range of ages in the group. I highly recommend his services to anyone planning a trip to this area!
Mike was fantastic. His knowledge of the area and all things WWII in the Normandy area was impressive. We had a private tour which allowed Mike to show us areas that you wouldn't get to see in a large group tour. He was able to keep my 13 year old daughter interested - which says a lot!!
Hi Trever, Truly a wonderful review, thank you so much! It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to meet you and your family, and thank you also for choosing me to be your guide. All the very best, Mike
My private nine-hour tour with Mike was easily the highlight of my three-week trip to France in November. Mike had conducted research on my father's regiment in the U.S. 4th Division before I arrived in Bayeux and was able to identify their movements. Those men landed on Utah Beach on June 6 and fought their way north to Cherbourg during the next few weeks to open a deep-water port for the Allies. Mike and I drove from village to village where my dad would have fought. All the while Mike was teaching me about the battle for Normandy, the villages we were passing through, the hedgerows, the Allied and German strategies, and so much more. This personalization brought a lump to my throat on several occasions and deepened my understanding and love for my father. A truly magnificent day. You MUST go with Mike if you're touring the invasion beaches.
We were a family of 14 traveling to Normandy for the first time. We booked Allied Victory Tours based on the reviews and could not have been happier with the decision! Mike has an incredible depth of knowledge and detail, and helps paint a picture of the events of D-Day with some truly unique stories about individual heroes who you may not have heard about. Because it was a private tour, he took us to several small villages between Saint Mere Eglise and the American landing beaches. These villages had small chapels and other memorials for soldiers who haven’t shown up in the history books, but are very much remembered by the locals there. He was also quite keen about what he “didn’t” show us, i.e. landmarks on Point du Hoc that are well known, but surprisingly not very relevant to the actual history. It was a wonderful way to immerse ourselves in the history of D-Day. I highly recommend Mike and Allied Victory Tours!
Mike is awesome! I am a D-Day nerd and my wife has only general knowledge of the subject. Mike tailored a tour that satisfied both of our levels of interest. He was knowledgable, pleasant, and polite. I without limitation recommend Mike for any D-Day tour!
A spectacular tour with an equally great guide. We were in Europe for 3 weeks and had multiple guides scheduled though other sources. They were Ok, but Mike blew our previous touring away. I am quite familiar with the history of the allied invasion. At least I thought I was. The info that I was able to learn and absorb via Mike’s knowledge and experience was remarkable. Simply stated; this tour was the highlight of our trip.
Mike from Allied Victory Tours was amazing! I have already recommended his tour to three others and will continue. Mike’s ability to share the story us unrivaled, almost like a magician he distracts with a small detail and then turns your attention to an amazing element you missed only to increase it’s impact in your heart as you experience this amazing piece of history! A private tour with Mike is the only way to experience Normandy!
The DDay tour was my husband's big bucket list item. He's a very hardworking man so I wanted him to have the ultimate experience and booked a tour for just the two of us. Mike from Allied Victory Tours was our guide and truly made this my hubby's ultimate experience. He had so many stories and interesting information plus could answer all of hubby's questions. I'm not a big history buff, but Mike held my interest the entire time, too. The whole tour was fantastic. Hubby wants to go back when we can spend more time. We highly, highly recommend!
Great trip organised by Mike . From my initial enquiry to logistics to the trip itself Mike efficiently nanagdd it all. The tour itself was brilliant, very informative but never any lecturing and fir some of the party who had been to the area before, Mike found spots they hadn't visited. Mike was also good fun which helps with a party of 8 women celebrating a big birthday! So thank you Mike, I highly recommend you and your tours to anyone who has an interest in WW2 and the Normandy beaches. Liz and the Gang
Hi Lisa, It was a wonderful day spent with a great bunch of lassies. I have to say that you have written a smashing review, thank you so much! The pleasure and privilege was all mine. Cheerio, Mike
