Avontuurlijke dorpjes en spectaculaire uitzichten maken Madeira perfect voor diegenen die een vakantie willen buiten de gebaande paden. Dit is de perfecte rondreis.

Daarna reizen we naar het prachtige uitzichtpunt van Cabo Girão, 580 meter hoog en met een glazen balkon, bekend als de hoogste van Europa en de op een na hoogste klif ter wereld.
Als we langs de kust van het eiland reizen, komen we al snel aan in het dorp Ribeira Brava, waar we een kerk uit de 15e eeuw kunnen bezoeken.
Daarna gaan we naar het uitkijkpunt Encumeada, 1007 m hoog, om te genieten van prachtige landschappen met uitzicht op de noord- en zuidkust van het eiland en ook op de valleien van Ribeira Brava en São Vicente.
Stop voor lunch en extra tijd in de kustplaats Porto Moniz - de thuisbasis van de grootste natuurlijke vulkanische poelen van Madeira. Op onze afdaling richting de stad kunnen we genieten van fantastische uitzichten, vooral de vulkanische poelen in hun geheel. Bij mooi weer is het mogelijk om een duik te nemen, dus kom voorbereid.
Daarna maken we een korte stop met uitzicht op het zwarte zandstrand en de natuurlijke zwembaden van het dorp Seixal.Onderweg hebben we het genoegen om verschillende watervallen te passeren, namelijk de beroemde en prachtige Véu da Noiva-waterval. Als je naar beneden kijkt naar het water dat van de berg naar beneden stroomt, kun je zien hoe de rotswand gedurende miljoenen jaren door wind en regen subtiel is gebeeldhouwd om te vormen wat alleen maar kan worden omschreven als de perfecte kunstvorm.
Vervolgens bezoeken we het pittoreske naburige dorp São Vicente, waar u een prachtige 17e-eeuwse kerk kunt bezoeken voordat u terugkeert naar Funchal.
Gelegen op 5 km van de stad Funchal, is onze eerste stop het pittoreske en beroemde vissersdorpje Câmara de Lobos; een favoriete Winston Churchill-schilderplek!

Sommige gebieden, waaronder voetgangerszones, historische straten in Funchal en locaties met beperkte toegang voor het type vervoer dat wij gebruiken, zijn mogelijk niet geschikt voor directe ophaalservice. Als uw accommodatie zich buiten ons ophaalgebied of in een zone met beperkte toegang bevindt, verzoeken wij u ons uw volledige adres door te geven, zodat we u naar het dichtstbijzijnde beschikbare ontmoetingspunt in Funchal kunnen verwijzen. Onze activiteiten worden doorgaans in groepen van ongeveer 16 deelnemers uitgevoerd. Tijdens drukke periodes kan het type vervoer echter worden aangepast en het aantal deelnemers per groep worden verhoogd, afhankelijk van de beschikbaarheid en logistieke vereisten.

Despite the cloudy weather in Porto Moniz, we had a lovely experience with our tour guide Paolo. He was very informative and his driving skills were top notch! Would highly recommend, thank you !!
Extremely good, No hard selling or tipping request. Explained well. No stopping at shop or time wasting
It started out to be what could’ve been a 5 star but ornatos attitude took a little attitude the second half . I understand we had to wait for people that didn’t make it back in time and that is very try annoying for all of us . It happened at 3 stops and 2 or the 3 was the same person so this is not his fault . We also saw and accident which caused a few mins delay and people driving rental cars also caused issues but he became frustrated. Other than you need more time at the pools if you want to go in and eat . We had to choose so that was a little disappointing. Overall it was a good tour .

Absolutely fantastic . 23 gr in the water in November. Possibility of shower in the beginning of the facility near the restaurant. All for free. Cool with all the waves outside and quite calm between the lava rocks.
We hired a car and drove to this western point of Maderia. Very windy roads but easy to drive on. Parking is not free but plenty of it. Lots of cafe/eating places. A bit commercialised. The natural rock swimming pools were amazing but it was a red flag day for wind so not for me. However people did go in. Would recommend water shoes. Believe there are.lockers but most people just left bags by the rocks. Free to access and take photos.
Excellent tour. Guide very knowledgeable. Porto Moniz highly recommend swimming. Lots of stops at interesting places. Great day out.
they say its Natural Swimming Pools but its been all modernised for tourists .Which i can understand. However the other side of Bay are Natural Pools and they are so much better
Amazing tour and amazing host saw so much and the places were amazing. Plenty of time to explore each place and all very friendly
