Maak kennis met een van de meest actieve vulkanen in Costa Rica, de Poás-vulkaan met een hoogte van 2.708 m, die op slechts een paar minuten van de stad San José ligt, waar we u direct ophalen waar u kunt overnachten om u naar zie de Grote Kolos Op weg naar de vulkaan kun je genieten van het prachtige uitzicht op de melk-, aardbeien- en sierplantenboerderijen, evenals de grote koffieplantages die opvallen door de grote hoeveelheid die onderweg wordt waargenomen, zodra we komen aan bij de vulkaan. Ricardo has been an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and professional. The trip took us to two coffee farms, the Poas park, an huge waterfall, and a coffee experience that made us see how coffee is made from the bean to the cup. I enjoyed it.

Charly's guidance was very good, patient, and committed to our experience. We are very happy with the experience; we were able to see the crater for a moment and also the lagoon. My family was very happy with the food as well, truly local flavor. The truth is that it was a good start to our visit to Costa Rica. It was very positive that it was a group of only 10 people because we were comfortable also in the van and during the activities.
Great tour with a fantastic guide (Charly)! He possesses enormous expertise and was able to answer every one of our questions in detail and understandably. At the beginning, we visited a coffee plantation where he explained many interesting things to us about the cultivation and the coffee beans. Afterward, we went to the volcano and a beautiful waterfall in the best weather. After a delicious lunch at a restaurant, we were able to learn about the final steps of coffee processing and were even allowed to help out ourselves in some parts. Overall, the tour was excellently organized from start to finish and a real highlight. Highly recommended!
Good tour overall the guide was very knowledgeable about the coffee industry and history. However, the guide spoke mainly Spanish most of the time (it was a group who spoke Spanish mainly but understood English) however I booked the tour in Spanish. Also, this tour isn't solo friendly. I was alone most of the tour and the guide didn't really speak or interact with me unless I spoke to him.

This tour is well worth it!!! I went with my wife and it was an amazing experience. Rickardo was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable and made our first time experience in Costa Rica a very memorable experience. If it’s your first time in CR I highly recommend booking!!!

I will cherish the memory, but wouldn’t give it a 5 due to the shuttle being a little uncomfortable for the rough ride. The last coffee stop was next to busy road and a little dumpy. The first coffee plantation stop was nice, but we had to pay to drink the coffee really nice. It wasn’t clear that it wasn’t included. They make a couple stops at tourist souvenir stores. The volcano walk / hike was great and the highlight. I think the tour could be done in 5-6 hours, instead of 8. I would recommend this tour, but at a 4 out of 5 for me.

I had an amazing experience on the Poás Volcano, La Paz Waterfall, and coffee tour with Ricardo as my guide! From the beginning of the tour to the very end, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel welcome. He shared so much interesting information about Costa Rica, the volcano, wildlife, and coffee production, making every stop even more enjoyable. Ricardo was organized, patient, and always made sure I was comfortable and having a great time. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and his positive energy made the entire day even better. The excursion was well organized overall. The pickup was punctual, and I was the first passenger to board the transport. However, the pickup process took quite a bit of time because several participants left later than expected, apparently due to being informed of a different schedule. It would be good to review this aspect, especially considering the traffic in San José. The coffee plantation is very beautiful, although the explanation about coffee production does not take place there. Additionally, the tour is not at the Starbucks plantation as indicated in the advertisement, so it would be advisable to update that information to avoid confusion. The highlight was undoubtedly the visit to Poás Volcano. We were fortunate to see it completely clear, and the views were spectacular, although we did not see the Botos Lagoon. The lunch was good, and afterward, there is an explanation about the coffee process that concludes with a tasting. As a recommendation for future travelers, please be patient with the return to San José, especially during the week, as the traffic can be quite intense. Overall, it was a good experience and an excellent opportunity to get to know one of the most impressive places in Costa Rica.
