Uw Marlborough wijnervaring begint bij het Picton i-SITE “Yellow Flag” ontmoetingspunt, waar uw vriendelijke Tour Host u aan wal zal verwelkomen en u kennis zal laten maken met de prachtige Marlborough wijnstreek. Deze flexibele excursie aan wal is speciaal ontworpen rond het havenschema van uw cruiseschip en duurt ongeveer 4 tot 6 uur, afhankelijk van de aankomst- en vertrektijden van uw schip. Uw tour bezoekt tussen de 3 en 5 zorgvuldig geselecteerde Marlborough kelderdeuren, genietend van een ontspannen en schilderachtige proefervaring met de wereldberoemde wijnen van de regio. A very informative tour, all the wineries were great and the lunch location was superb
A small group wine tasting in Marlborough wine country is a great way to enjoy a visit to Picton. Our tour guide, Kevin, was knowledgable, friendly and fun. The small group allowed for personalized attention at the wineries and great conversations amongst our fellow travelers. Oh, and the wine was good too!
Kevin was an exceptional driver and guide. His professionalism was evident in explaining wines and the region. The wineries well represented the area and the dining experience for lunch was also excellent.
Wonderful wine tour—gorgeous surroundings, lovely wineries and super host/driver Tony. The tour was well-paced and relaxed. The van was comfortable and the group size of 12 was just right. Plus we got lucky with perfect weather and a great group, making new friends. We had an absolutely fantastic time. Highly recommend this wine tour!
Tony was a great host, lovely guy. Took us to 4 of the smaller, family owned wineries. Was a day to remember, amazing scenery, fabulous wine and great company. Can’t wait to do it again
Great day! The tour was exactly as described, or perhaps even better. Our tour guide, Tony, was knowledgeable, relaxed and kept us on pace in a very lowkey manner. We had plenty of time at the venues to enjoy the tastings, and to appreciate the settings which were varied and interesting. Quite a few wines were sampled and described at each stop, so we felt that we really got a nice representation of Marlborough wines from a variety of vineyards. The structure of the tastings made it easy to absorb the tutorials while getting to know our fellow tour participants. Everyone was very congenial, which made the day trip that much more enjoyable. We would not hesitate to recommend Discovery Wine Tours for an awesome experience and a great value.
We visited several winery’s. The tastings were generous and the people were very knowledgeable. Our driver Kevin was excellent and also very knowledgeable and helpful throughout.
Great guide Kevin and very enjoyable. Loved the wines, and lots of information about the area too. Well organised, a short wait at one winery which was not the fault of the tour company. Keep up the good work Discovery Wine Tours.
Visited 4 wineries in the Marlborough area with good tastings in all. Very relaxed day & our driver Kevin was very informative throughout the day. Highly recommended as a cruise excursion when in Picton.
Small group made it easier to relax and enjoy! We visited 4 wineries with 3-4 tastings at each winery with a quick stop at a chocolate shop. At the last winery you could buy lunch which was very good. Good explanations about the different wines and how they were made along with a history of the winery. Beautiful field of grapes.
