De eilanden kwamen wereldwijd op de voorgrond toen Ko Phi Phi Le werd gebruikt als locatie voor de 2000 Brits-Amerikaanse film The Beach. Dit leverde kritiek op, met beweringen dat het filmbedrijf de omgeving van het eiland had beschadigd, omdat de producenten strandgebieden droogden en palmbomen plantten om het meer op beschrijvingen in het boek te laten lijken, [1] een beschuldiging van de makers van de film. Een toename van het toerisme werd toegeschreven aan de release van de film, wat resulteerde in een verhoogde aantasting van het milieu. Phi Phi Le is de thuisbasis van de "Viking Cave", waar een bloeiende industrie eetbare vogelnesten oogst.

Tourdetails: - 8.00-8.30 uur. Ophaalservice vanaf uw hotel, veilig bij aankomst op de pier met warm welkom. - 09.00 uur. Vertrek vanaf de pier richting Phi Phi Leh, bezienswaardigheden in Maya Bay. - Bezoek de baai van Lohsama, de Pileh-lagune - Zeer mooi en uitstekend geschikt om te zwemmen, bekend als "Zwembad in de zee" - Vikinggrot – Lokaal Tham Phaya Nak genoemd. Geniet van snorkelen met smaragdgroen kristalwater en koraalriffen. - Apenstrand – klein strand afhankelijk van het waterdichte genieten met de natuuraap. - 12.45 uur. Tonsai – geniet van een heerlijke lunch bij Phi Phi Don, ontspannend langs het strand. - 14.15 uur. Op weg naar de Khai Nai-eilanden, geniet van het strand, snorkel, ontspan op het strand, geniet van sap, fruit, frisdrank en snacks op Khai Island, verzorgd door ons vriendelijke personeel. - 16.30 uur. Vertrek van de Khai-eilanden naar de pier van Phuket. - 17.00 uur. Aankomst op onze pierveiligheid, transfer terug naar uw hotel.

Misrepresenting, profiteering and bad customer experience are play. Once you buy the base tickets, you’re asked to upgrade to upper cabin for more comfortable seats, better views and more drinks and snacks..bah, humbug! I’m still waiting for a decent drink and no snacks! The lunch served was pathetic at best! The monkey bay cruise was useless due to high tide, which they must have known but didn’t divulge! In short this operator is unscrupulous and is best to avoid!

Good visit to phi phi island phuket. It was a useful visit. The boat needs to be cleaner and more comfortable. Lot of attra tions in phi phi.

Very well organised from hotel pick up to drop off, there was even breakfast supplied which was unexpected. Instructions given in multiple languages and thankfully reef shoes for sale because the ground is covered in sharp rocks. We were on 'Team Spicy' and he was absolutely amazing...we had the best time and finished the day exhausted and with many happy memories. Thanks Spicy...you made the day even more special!

Unfortunately for me this was only a nice trip to the islands due to the size of the boat we booked paid for vip silver and they tried to put us right down the bottom of the boat as I knew this was not right my partner had to go tell the booking window lady we paid for better seating which was quickly fixed and we were seated correctly up top gold seats is the way to go tho u get top service u get plenty of time to chill if that’s the way u want to get to the islands as the boat takes so long to get there from the slow speed which u travel and then get to the island and u get lunch which was terrible after four days of island tours to various islands while there that lunch was by far the worst didn’t even provide fried rice so I suggest eat elsewhere and then u only get minimal time on the island itself so not my cuppa tea I would try a different option is I was to do it again in future the day wasn’t the best for this chosen day either so all in all id pick a faster option to get to the islands so I could spend more time there enjoying the many food options and the beach or go snorkeling which we chose not to do due to the weather in this day to much time wasted travelling to get to the island but the lovely plate with our family members pics on it as u return to port was fantastic what a great idea now this I liked very much hope I get them home safely in my hand luggage thank u viator I will be trying other options u have to offer next time I return to Phuket
