Reizigers bezoeken Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village in de heuvels bij Patong voor een rustige olifantenobservatiewandeling. Na het ophalen uit het Patong-gebied ontmoeten de gasten de lokale Gids en het keeperteam voor een welkomst- en veiligheidsbriefing. Ze leren over de olifanten, dagelijkse verzorgingsroutines, voedsel, gedrag en waarom verantwoord olifantentoerisme paardrijden, shows, trucs, voeren, fysiek contact en gedwongen baden vermijdt. Gasten volgen vervolgens de Gids naar respectvolle observatiegebieden om olifanten te zien bewegen, foerageren, eten, rusten en zich natuurlijk gedragen. De route en observatiemomenten kunnen variëren afhankelijk van olifantencomfort, veiligheid, weer, gezondheid en begeleiding van de verzorger. Drinkwater is inbegrepen tijdens het bezoek. Maaltijden zijn niet inbegrepen in dit programma. Dit is geen prestatiegerichte activiteit. Olifanten worden niet gedwongen om te interageren, poseren, baden, voeden of een vaste bezoekersroutine te volgen.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
De ophaaltijd kan variëren afhankelijk van de locatie van het hotel en het verkeer. Wacht 10 minuten voor uw geplande ophaaltijd in de lobby van het hotel of bevestigd ophaalpunt. Als uw hotel buiten het inbegrepen transfergebied ligt, kan een extra transfertoeslag of ontmoetingspunt vereist zijn.

This was a great experience. The tour guide was very sweet. We got to feed elephants and even touch them. They helped us take nice pictures as well. The rescued elephants seem to be well taken care of here.

Wonderful experience in beautiful surroundings. The elephants are rescues and appeared happy and well cared for, roaming freely on the hill. We had the opportunity to prepare some food to feed the elephants, who are eager to take from your hands. Our guide Pa was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable! She took lots of photos for us and made the effort to learn the names of everyone in the group! Thank you Pa and the rest of the hill tribe for such a lovely experience and for taking such good care of these beautiful creatures!

Don’t recommend doing this specific tour. This company is unresponsive and steals your money. Save you money and go somewhere else.

The actual elephant sanctuary was fabulous. Close encounters with these lovely animals and lovely to see how well they are being looked after. Shame our booked transfer didn’t work out… we waited at the right place at the right time & the driver was in a different location!
