Deze ervaring combineert een olifantenobservatie wandeling met een natuurlijke vitamine voedselbereiding activiteit nabij Patong. Gasten leren van het lokale verzorgersteam over olifantenzorg, voeding, gedrag en dagelijkse routines, en observeren olifanten vervolgens respectvol terwijl ze zich op natuurlijke wijze bewegen, foerageren, eten en rusten. De tour is ontworpen voor verantwoordelijke reizigers die een betekenisvolle olifantenervaring willen zonder paardrijden, shows, trucs, gedwongen baden of geënsceneerd nauw contact. Activiteiten kunnen variëren afhankelijk van olifantencomfort, veiligheid, weer, gezondheid en begeleiding van de verzorger, waardoor elk bezoek eerlijker, respectvoller en welzijnsgerichter wordt.

Reizigers worden opgehaald van hun hotel en naar een ethisch olifantenreservaat in Phuket gebracht. Bij aankomst zal een lokale Gids hen kennis laten maken met de geredde olifanten en hun achtergrondverhalen delen. Gasten zullen langs natuurlijke paden lopen om de olifanten te zien zwerven, foerageren en interactie hebben in hun boshuis. Ze leren hoe verzorgers gezond voedsel en kruidensupplementen bereiden en krijgen de kans om de olifanten op een veilige, respectvolle manier met de hand te voeren. Tijdens het bezoek zal de Gids uitleg geven over olifantengedrag, uitdagingen op het gebied van natuurbehoud en hoe het reservaat dierenwelzijn ondersteunt. De ervaring eindigt met tijd om te ontspannen, gedenkwaardige foto's te maken en te genieten van lichte versnaperingen voordat u terugkeert naar het hotel.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophalen is alleen mogelijk bij de inbegrepen transferruimte. Wacht minstens 10 minuten voor uw geplande ophaaltijd in de lobby van het hotel of bevestigd ophaalpunt. De exacte ophaaltijd kan variëren, afhankelijk van de locatie van het hotel en het verkeer. Ophalen buiten de inbegrepen ruimte kan een extra vergoeding of een bevestiging van het ontmoetingspunt vereisen.

Amazing experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable and sweet. You can tell the elephants are well taken care of too!. BRING BUG SPRAY or you will get bitten up by misquitos.

It’s a good way to see some sites quickly. You won’t have an extended amount of time so for those who need a lot of photo time you might have to move quickly. There won’t be any guidance once you’re at the locations. You just take your photos and wander around. Before you arrive, the guide will give a brief summary about the locations during the car ride though. The tiger add-on was the best for me. I didn’t mind it resting and not very active during the photo because it’s a tiger and huge. They did do a quick stop at the road side elephants, if you want to see elephants better I recommend Patong hill tribe or another sanctuary type location. And of course they make some shop stops. You don’t have to buy anything, but I did get some snacks and honey. Overall good way to see things quickly.

What an incredible experience! Might be challenging for anyone with mobility issues as there was a steep hill to climb and some uneven terrain (but certainly not a long walk), and younger children might be intimidated by the being so close to the elephants. For us though (youngest was 12), this was such a special experience to prepare some food, to feed the elephants and be able to see them so close. The guides were generous in taking photos and making sure we had a good time. Thank you Mei for a wonderful time!

Worth the money! It was really hot and lots of uphill walking but definitely worth it for the experience. Very good guide and the pick up service was excellent

Excellent value for money, and what an experience up close and personal. Staff and very knowledgeable and friendly. Great transport to and from experience to hotel. Just the right amount of time to spend with the elephants, and the group size was not oversized, so you get lots of time with hands on. Highly recommend.

The hands on experience was truly unforgettable. We were able to feed and interact with 5 elephants with great photo opportunities. Sadly, the tour was not very informative about elephants and their behavior. Beware— when you book a tour for a specific time, pick up maybe as much as an hour earlier. Consider contacting your guide for specifics. We were not notified and were quite surprised when the driver arrived at 9:05 AM for our 10 AM tour. We were told we needed to be in the lobby in 5 minutes or the tour would be cancelled. No one was helpful. However once we arrived to the sanctuary we were very happy we came.

The experience was wonderful and intimate. It was a small group of people with our tour guide and the elephants are beautiful and well taken care of. I like that they are free and not having to work anymore. Just relax. I do recommend that people be comfortable with walking especially up a very steep hill as it can be a bit much if you have foot/ knee pain. My sister needed assistance getting up the hill and they were very gracious. We both enjoyed it immensely. Especially touching them and giving them food. I highly recommend this tour. Not too long. Just enough time to connect to the animals.
