Zie hoe Cambodjanen wakker worden en hun dag beginnen met een ochtendmarkt en ontbijttour door Phnom Penh per tuktuk! We ontdekken verborgen juweeltjes voor fijnproevers, genieten van geweldige lokale koffie en ervaren de levendige Khmer-cultuur - dit is je kans om je dag te beginnen als een local, met een local! We gaan verder dan de gebruikelijke markt- en straatvoedselmonsters en schijnen een licht op lokale tradities die nog steeds verborgen zijn in Phnom Penh. We maken 6 stops, waaronder VEEL eten en drinken (alles inbegrepen!) Bij een selectie van sit-down restaurants, straatkraampjes, een lokale markt en een café. Hotel pick-up, al het eten en drinken (en er is VEEL!), Koffie en een handgemaakte souvenir zijn allemaal inbegrepen in de prijs van deze tour.

Misschien wel een van de meest legendarische hoofdsteden ter wereld, Phnom Penh en meerdere keren gestegen en gedaald sinds het voor het eerst werd opgericht in de 5e eeuw. De bruisende stad die je vandaag ziet, ontwikkelt zich razendsnel en biedt onderdak aan meer dan 2 miljoen mensen, maar decennia geleden was het een heel andere plaats - en de lokale bevolking geeft nog steeds de voorkeur aan hun traditionele manier van leven. Die tradities zijn nog steeds sterk en je kunt ze het best zien als je 's ochtends onze levendige lokale straten verkent. We reizen per tuktuk door de stad en bezoeken minstens 6 haltes waar we de makers ontmoeten, ons eten zien bereiden en ervaren hoe de lokale bevolking hun ochtend doorbrengt. Bezoek onze favoriete buurten in Phnom Penh, eet ons favoriete eten, probeer hoe we onze koffie lekker vinden en loop weg met een souvenir bij ons! Dit is je kans om je dag af te trappen als een local, met een local!
Coffee & Noodles: Begin uw ochtend bij een favoriete lokale ontmoetingsplaats die al meer dan 15 jaar het buurtontbijt serveert. Geniet van een selectie lokale koffie geserveerd naast een kom hartige noedelsoep.
Lokale natte markt: wandel door een bruisende openluchtmarkt, probeer wat er in het seizoen is en loop weg met een handgemaakt souvenir... van ons! Onderweg ontmoet je zuster Mao die vers gekweekte kruiden koopt om haar eigen verse currypasta te maken.
Pork & Rice: Bezoek Brother Salin en zijn door een familie gerunde winkel die een klassiek Khmer-ontbijt serveert. We pakken een plastic stoel en gaan aan de straatkant zitten voor wat vers gegrild varkensvlees en rijst geserveerd met zelfgemaakte augurken en een rijke kom soep.
Hartige kurkuma-pannenkoeken: deze populaire hartige pannenkoeken worden gemaakt met rijstmelk en kurkuma, waardoor ze hun levendige gele kleur krijgen. Daarna worden ze gevuld met gemalen varkensvlees, taugé en gedroogde garnalen voordat we ze met de hand omwikkelen met sla en lokale kruiden. Vergeet de huisgemaakte dipsaus niet!
Bekroonde koffie: eindig met een kenmerkend koffierecept waarmee dit hippe café de National Barista Gold Medal in Cambodja heeft gewonnen! De tour eindigt in het café, dat op loopafstand van de Russische markt ligt. Uw gids kan voorstellen hoe u naar uw volgende bestemming kunt komen.

Het ophalen van hotels is inbegrepen bij centraal gelegen hotels. Als uw hotel zich niet binnen een redelijke afstand bevindt, zorgen wij voor een ontmoetingspunt voorafgaand aan uw tourdatum. De tour eindigt in een hip café in de buurt van de Russische markt.

Had a really good time on this market tour in Phnom Penh. Everything was super well-organized and the schedule ran smoothly—we got to see a lot without feeling rushed around. Our guide Lii was great. He’s really nice, friendly, and knows a ton about the city and the local markets. Riding around in the tuktuk was a fun way to get around, and Lii made sure we were comfortable and had a good experience the whole time. Definitely worth doing if you're in Phnom Penh!

Amazing experience. The atmosphere here is fun and exciting. Our guide Lee was very friendly and took us to see markets, and we tried lots of different foods including rice noodles, yellow pancakes and coffee. Definitely recommend this tour!

Thanks to Lee for a delicious and very informative tour through. Phnom Penh in the morning. Lee led us to places we wouldn't have found otherwise and certainly wouldn't have entered. He taught us a few Cambodian niche words that we tried out on the traders in the Russian market. Even the money for the small purchases he gave us. We laughed a lot (especially the market people). He told us a lot about the history and culture of Cambodia. He was also able to bring us closer to the current living situation here. The tour is definitely recommended!
