Het Koninklijk Paleis is een van de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden van Phnom Penh. De bouw begon in 1886 nadat koning Norodom de koninklijke hoofdstad naar Phnom Penh had verplaatst en was voltooid voor de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Tot op de dag van vandaag is het paleis de hoofdverblijfplaats van De koning van Cambodja.
De prachtige Silver Pagoda ligt naast het Koninklijk Paleis in Phnom Penh. Met zijn prachtige tuin is het een perfect toevluchtsoord weg van de drukke straten van de hoofdstad van Cambodja. De binnenkant van de pagode is net zo adembenemend als talloze handgemaakte zilveren tegels die de vloer bedekken. De pagode staat ook bekend als de Tempel van de Smaragdgroene Boeddha omdat het primaire Boeddhabeeld is gemaakt van smaragd- of baccarat-kristal.
Het Tuol Sleng-genocidemuseum is een museum in Phnom Penh, de hoofdstad van Cambodja, waarin de Cambodjaanse genocide wordt vastgelegd. De site is een voormalige middelbare school die door het Khmer Rouge-regime werd gebruikt als Security Prison 21 (S-21) vanaf de opkomst in 1975 tot de val in 1979. Van 1976 tot 1979 werden naar schatting 20.000 mensen gevangengezet in Tuol Sleng (het echte nummer is onbekend). Tuol Sleng betekent "Heuvel van de giftige bomen" of "Strychnine Hill". Tuol Sleng was slechts een van de minstens 150 martel- en executiecentra die door de Rode Khmer waren opgericht, hoewel andere bronnen het cijfer in 196 gevangenissen plaatsen. Op 26 juli 2010 veroordeelden de Buitengewone Kamers in de Rechtbanken van Cambodja het hoofd van Tuol Sleng Prison, Kang Kek Iew (alias Duch) voor misdaden tegen de menselijkheid en ernstige schendingen van de Geneefse Conventies van 1949 en veroordeelden hem tot levenslange gevangenisstraf.
Choeung Ek is de locatie van een voormalige boomgaard en een massagraf van slachtoffers van de Rode Khmer die tussen 1975 en 1979 zijn gedood, ongeveer 17 kilometer ten zuiden van Phnom Penh, Cambodja. Het is de bekendste van de sites die bekend staan als The Killing Fields, waar het regime van de Rode Khmer tussen 1975 en 1979 meer dan een miljoen mensen executeerde. Massagraven met 8.895 lichamen werden ontdekt in Choeung Ek na de val van het regime van de Rode Khmer. Wat Phnom: Gelegen op een met bomen bedekte heuvel van 27 meter hoog, is Wat Phnom de enige heuvel in de stad. Volgens de legende werd de eerste pagode op deze plek in 1373 opgericht om vier standbeelden van Boeddha te huisvesten die hier door de wateren van de Mekong zijn afgezet en ontdekt door een vrouw genaamd Penh. De hoofdingang van Wat Phnom is via de grote oostelijke trap, die wordt bewaakt door leeuwen en naga-balustrades (slangen).

Het Onafhankelijkheidsmonument in Phnom Penh, de hoofdstad van Cambodja, werd in 1958 gebouwd om de onafhankelijkheid van Cambodja van Frankrijk in 1953 te herdenken. Het staat op de kruising van Norodom Boulevard en Sihanouk Boulevard in het centrum van de stad. Het heeft de vorm van een lotusvormige stoepa, van de stijl die te zien is in de Khmer-tempel in Banteay Srei en andere Khmer-historische bezienswaardigheden. Wat Ounalom is een van de vijf oorspronkelijke kloosters van Phnom Penh (1422). het huisvestte het Instituut Bouddhique en de bibliotheek. So Phy was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable, kind and patient and willing to share personal experiences. A very memorable tour.
I.am incredibly disappointed with this trip, especially considering how expensive it was. It felt less like a premium experience and more like a cash grab. The Guide: While they weren't rude, their delivery was incredibly monotone and so quiet that half the group couldn't even hear them. It made the entire itinerary feel tedious rather than engaging. The "Restaurant" Trap: The description states that the tour takes you to a restaurant, but it conveniently omits the fact that absolutely nothing is included—you have to pay for everything out of pocket. The Real Issue: If I am paying for my own meal, I want the freedom to choose where I eat. Instead, we were funneled into a specific spot where it felt blatantly obvious the tour company was getting a kickback/backhander for bringing in captive customers. Save your money. Between the lackluster guiding and the forced, overpriced lunch stop, this tour is absolutely not worth the high price tag.

Knowledgeable tour guide with great transportation. Mr. Tukk was very knowledgeable about each site we visited. We traveled with a group of 14 and he was super patient working with the group, answered a variety of questions and kept us on schedule to see all of the sites on our itinerary within a reasonable amount of time.
