Peter's Kever Porto-tour

Friends we met in Sintra told us about this experience with Peter. We immediately booked it and are glad we did! We saw not only the “touristy” areas but many other places. The city market (Bolhao, I think) was a favorite. We also got pastel de natas that were exceptionally good. Peter gave excellent background and history to buildings, statues, areas of town, etc. He also found the best spots for photos and took many of us. And the 1974 VW Beetle convertible is fun! Everywhere we went people commented on it. This was a fantastic way to see the city on our first day here. You should do the same, if you have 3 or fewer people (the bug is only so big).

This was absolutely SPECTACULAR! Pedro is a fantastic tour guide and all around human being. Pickup was smooth, the conversation flowed with knowledge, passion for the city and kindness. We had an absolute blast. The beetle was a really fun touch and Pedro takes some amazing photos so you don't have to. I cannot recommend this tour and Pedro enough!

A really excellent day out. Obviously you can see from the pictures that the beetle is a very cool car to start with. Beyond that Peter is an excellent guide. Very informative and loads of little touches through the tour that make it very special. I would definitely recommend as a way of seeing a little further afield than just the central Porto walking area

I cannot recommend Pedro’s Tour more!!! He was amazing! He took the four of us from Porto to Lisbon with 3 stops to amazing charming cities on the way! He was so nice and accommodating with time! Never rushed and suggested great picture spots! I would book him again!! Absolutely great!

This tour of Porto was the highlight of my trip! Pedro was really communicative through the Tripadvisor app and was really clear on the meeting point. He was on time, incredibly friendly and thoroughly knowledgable of Porto, it's history, the roads and the best places to see and go. I booked this tour as a solo traveller and do not regret it one bit. Pedro can get his car into the smallest of streets and up the highest of Porto's hills. With Pedro's classic VW Beetle and the roof down, you'll get a LOT of envious looks from passers by! Pedro's tour of Porto covers the main city and some of its outer areas, going up to the beach before taking the main coastal road back with the Douro beside you. I got to see and learn more about Porto with Pedro in 3 hours then I could have ever done exploring on my own in a week with all the research and planning! By the end of the tour, I felt I'd known Pedro for ages, rather than having only known him for a few hours. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you're short of time or finding moving up and down the hills challenging.

Some friends took a Beetle tour 2 years ago and raved about Peter. Before booking, he answered my questions and got us a van for 2 couples and my wife. The trip was perfect: seeing some great sights (some lesser known) and learning about the area (the visit to the winery was a real treat, too). It was unanimous: all 6 of us loved the tour.

We hired tour guide to drive us to the Portuguese town of Porto. Our driver was a native of Porto and provided us with an excellent tour of his city and showed us many beautiful vistas from different vantage points in the city. Porto is one of the most beautiful cities we have ever been to. It was unusually scenic and generally clean and had a wonderful energy to it. A stop at the local farmers market was worthwhile. It is a beautiful modern outdoor venue with many street vendors selling excellent cheese’s, fruit and meats. We completed the tour by going to one of the local port distilleries (Stedmans). We started our tour at the high bridge overlooking the river. He served us a port wine sample to get things started. A prearranged lunch was provided at a local restaurant with outdoor seating that was both delicious and delightful. From there Pedro took us to Sandman distillery to tour the refinery and sample 3 port wines. After, Pedro drove us back to Lisbon. We all agreed that the Tawney port wine was our favorite. Pedro is excellent. He loves to show off Porto and provided many stories and laughs. He is top-notch!

This was by far the best experience in Porto. It was the highlight of our break. I would highly recommend this tour.

This was an incredible option to see the city of Porto and Pedro was more than incredible and everything we could hope for during our visit. We had a 6 and 9 year old and he made it engaging for them and clearly had a knack for connecting with younger children. He was passionate, knowledgeable, patient, and flexible. We were able to see things we hoped to and more. He got us a lunch reservation and just all around went above and beyond for us during our time in the city. Whatever needs to be said to convince you, consider it said. Highly recommend this tour and Pedro!!
