Ontdek de Douro-vallei in een echte ervaring met kleine groepen, beperkt tot slechts 8 gasten voor een meer persoonlijke en ontspannen dag. Vermijd drukke tours en geniet van een intiemere manier om een van 's werelds mooiste wijngebieden te verkennen. Bezoek 2 zorgvuldig geselecteerde wijnhuizen en geniet van begeleide proeverijen van zowel Port- als DOC Douro-wijnen en leer meer over de rijke wijntradities van de regio. Geniet van een traditionele Portugese lunch in een lokaal restaurant en geniet van de adembenemende landschappen van de vallei. Ontspan op een schilderachtige riviercruise in Pinhão en reis comfortabel met hotel pick-up in Porto, begeleid door een deskundige lokale Gids gedurende de dag. Met kleinere groepen geniet je van meer interactie met je Gids, een flexibel tempo en een meer meeslepende ervaring bij elke stop — waardoor deze tour ideaal is voor reizigers die op zoek zijn naar kwaliteit, comfort en authenticiteit.

Begin de tour bij uw hotel of accommodatie in Porto Downtown, om 8.00 uur. Vervolgens reizen we richting de Dourovallei. Let op : uw adres moet worden opgegeven bij de boeking of een paar dagen voordat de tour plaatsvindt of een ontmoetingspunt wordt vastgesteld. - PICK-UP IS EXCLUSIEF VOOR HET PORTO DOWNTOWN GEBIED. Wij bieden GEEN pick-up van Vila Nova de Gaia, Matosinhos, het Porto kustgebied, of andere locaties buiten het centrum van de stad.
Waar mogelijk stoppen we bij de stad Peso da Régua, een historische stad van de Douro-vallei geassocieerd met de handel in wijn. Hier geven we onze gasten een korte uitleg over de stad en maken we wat vrije tijd vrij voor een kopje koffie en foto’s.
Quinta do Tedo is één van de vele wijnhuizen die we tijdens onze tour kunnen bezoeken. In dit bezoek leert u over het wijnbereidingsproces van Quinta do Tedo met een lokale Gids. Het omvat een begeleide wijnproeverij waarbij u uitleg krijgt over de verschillende wijnen die geproefd moeten worden. In het hart van de Dourovallei heeft u de kans om Pinhão te bezoeken. Pinhão was vroeger een belangrijke plaats voor de handel en het transport van de wijn van Douro naar Porto. De wijn werd eerst gecommercialiseerd en vervolgens verscheept in de traditionele Rabelo-boot om te blijven rijpen in Vila Nova de Gaia, net over de rivier in Porto. In het dorp Pinhão stoppen we voor een 1u riviercruise en lunchen we in een traditioneel lokaal restaurant. OPMERKING : Bezoeken aan de wijnhuizen en riviercruises zijn niet volledig privé en open voor externe deelnemers.
Het grootste deel van de tour heeft de rivier de Douro als het schilderachtige landschap gedurende de dag. De wijnhuizen die worden bezocht bieden een ongelooflijk uitzicht op de rivier.
Quinta do Beijo is het tweede wijnhuis van verschillende wijnhuizen die we kunnen bezoeken op onze tour. Dit is een kleine lokale wijnmakerij met zeer goede wijnen die niet kunnen worden gekocht in de stad. Het bezoek wordt meestal gedaan door de Eigenaar van het pand zelf, terwijl hij u meer vertelt over de productie en de smaken van de wijnen. We rijden terug naar Porto vanuit Douro Valley en keren rond 18:00 uur (afhankelijk van het verkeer) terug, waar onze Gids u achterlaat bij het door u geselecteerde afzetpunt.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Hotel pick-up is inbegrepen in het centrum van Porto. Geef uw accommodatiegegevens door bij het afrekenen. Als uw locatie buiten het ophaalgebied ligt, stellen we een handig ontmoetingspunt in de buurt voor. Het ophalen begint om ongeveer 7 : 50 uur en kan tot 30 minuten duren, afhankelijk van uw locatie. U ontvangt de exacte ophaaltijd en details de dag voor uw tour. Zorg dat u op het geplande tijdstip klaarstaat, want vertragingen kunnen de ervaring voor andere gasten beïnvloeden.

We had a wonderful experience in the valley. My wife and I have gone on many guided tours and other winery tours and Pedro was hands down the best guide we've had. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun, he enhanced the tour so much for us. The boat ride for us was nice but was the low point of the tour, it would have been nice to instead visit another winery.
We can definitely recommend this wine tasting in the beautiful Douro Valley. It was a very balanced day with tours of two local vineyards with tasting of different porto and DOC Douro wines, pit stops at beautiful viewpoints along the way, a delicious dinner and a boat cruise. Our guide Joana did a great job of telling us about the areas, making everyone feel included and gave us some great recommendations for Porto when we got back.
We had a fabulous time on our tour with Joanna. Being in a small group tour really made it feel personal and we were able to drive through areas of the Douro Valley that the big bus tours could not. Joanna was an amazing and knowledgeable guide! Would definitely recommend!

The tour was a perfect full day. Pickup and drop off after lots of wine. Loved the mix with regional honey, olive oil, and olives to give variety to the experience. The 50 min river cruise was a great change of pace and lunch was delicious and plentiful.

My wife and I did this trip on a Sunny Friday. We have nothing but positive things to say. Our pick up was on time and we were greeted warmly by our excellent driver and guide for the day, Ricardo. Ricardo was knowledgeable about the wines of the region and offered lots of useful tips on places in and around Porto. The vineyards visited were in stunning locations and those who hosted us gave entertaining and informative tours. Lunch was a highlight - great food and again, more wine! The river cruise takes you through one of the most picturesque regions of the Douro valley. We made new friends, raised our glasses many times and had fun throughout the day.

Scenery on drive was amazing. Communication prior to trip was poor and food option was not as expected with a slice of cheese instead of the pork sausage and no option instead of the rump steak . Both wineries were not the ones listed and wineries or lunch were not in a beautiful setting. Second winery guide was not a family member as promised and presentation could have been better. No time to explore Pinhao.

Had a fantastic day in the Douro Valley. Marcio picked us up perfectly on time from our hotel in Porto and together with 2 American and a Canadian couple he drove us safely and professionally through the Douro Valley. Told a lot about the area and the various wineries. The wine and port houses and tastings were well chosen. Marcio made sure we got to the boat first so we could pick good spots. Lunch was extensive and well catered for and consisted of local dishes. Visiting the Douro Valley is actually a must see & do and we can highly recommend this tour with this organization!
