De tour begint in het centrum van Halifax met een 45 minuten (bij benadering) rijden naar Peggys Cove. De thuisbasis van een van de beroemdste vuurtorens ter wereld en de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden van Nova Scotia. Tijdens onze Peggy’s Cove-ervaring beginnen reizigers aan een schilderachtige kustrit, waarbij ze genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan en pittoreske dorpjes. Bij aankomst verken je de iconische Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, gelegen op dramatische granieten rotsen met golven die eronder neerstorten. Bezoekers kunnen over de ruige kustlijn wandelen, lokale winkels en galeries bezoeken en zich onderdompelen in de rijke viscultuur van het gebied.
Het Whalesback Memorial ligt ongeveer 1 km ten noorden van Peggy's Cove en beschikt over twee granieten stenen. Op één steen staan drie gebeeldhouwde inkepingen die het vluchtnummer "111" voorstellen, en de oriëntatiepunten naar de crashplaats. De tweede steen staat in lijn met het Bayswater Memorial aan de overkant van de baai. Een kort wandelpad (160 meter) leidt bezoekers naar deze plechtige site, die een ruimte biedt voor reflectie te midden van het natuurlijke kustlandschap
Nadat je Peggy’s Cove hebt verlaten, ben je op weg naar Lunenburg met ongeveer een uur rijden. Tijdens onze Lunenburg-ervaring reizen reizigers langs de prachtige South Shore van Nova Scotia en komen ze aan in de UNESCO-werelderfgoedstad Lunenburg. Je verkent de kleurrijke waterkant van de stad, waar historische schepen zoals de beroemde Bluenose II liggen. Tijdens onze Fairview Lawn Cemetery-ervaring bezoeken reizigers een van de meest historische en aangrijpende locaties van Halifax, de laatste rustplaats voor meer dan 100 slachtoffers van de Titanic-ramp. Terwijl ze over de begraafplaats lopen, zie je de kenmerkende gebogen rijen grafstenen, vele eenvoudig gemarkeerd met nummers, terwijl je de verhalen leert van degenen die omkwamen op de noodlottige reis. Peggy’s cove & Lunenburg are beautiful places to visit. I was very lucky to visit on a dry sunny day. Agnes was a fantastic guide full of information about Nova Scotia, she was fascinating to listen to on the drive. I really recommend the trip.

Small tour with only small people. Wich was good. Agnes was very knowledgeable and good tour guide. Van it self was a little hard to get in and out of but overall had a great day.

We had the worst weather, because the rain was coming down comically hard. So that put a bit of a damper on seeing at Peggy's Cove, but we still enjoyed seeing it. Lunenberg was lovely. I wish we had gotten to go to the Titanic Museum- that's my fault for not reading that this tour did not include that, just the cemetery. But over all a good day considering the weather.

Very good tour. Our driver/guide was very outgoing, friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting; however, I would caution to not sit on the left hand side of the bus at the back as you will see absolutely nothing unless maybe if you are really tall. Love that pick up and drop off can be arranged for your hotel, perfect for travellers not renting a vehicle. Overall it was a good experience and provided us with a lot of history of the area.
