Beschrijving
De Telegraph Rock heeft de aandacht getrokken van vele wandelaars van over de hele wereld. De rots ligt ver van het centrale deel van de stad, gelegen in het Staatspark van de Witte Rots. De transferservice brengt je naar het State Park om de wandeling te beginnen. Het is een gematigde wandeling en in het begin een beetje steil. De reisleider helpt je op weg. Vanaf daar hebben we een spectaculair uitzicht op de Restinga da Marambaia, het Selvagem-strand en de Gávea-rots. Het hoogtepunt is Bigorna Rock. Je mag op de rots gaan zitten om een foto te maken die de indruk wekt dat je aan de rand hangt. Iedereen zal geloven dat je een risico hebt genomen om die foto te maken.

Vanaf daar waarderen we een spectaculair uitzicht dat de Restinga da Marambaia, het Selvagem-strand, het Recreio dos Bandeirantes-strand, het Barra da Tijuca-strand en de Gávea's Rock omvat. Die traditionele foto van iemand die aan de rand van de rots hangt, is genomen in de Bigorna Rock (vertaling Anvil Rock) op een van de plekken van de Telegraph's Rock-wandeling.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophalen is mogelijk bij de meeste hotels in de gebieden Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana, Flamengo en Downtown (Centro). Neem contact met ons op terug om de ophaaltijd aan te passen. Voor Barra da Tijuca/Recreio bieden wij ophalen tegen een extra tarief.

I didn't go on the tour but I'm leaving a 5 star review because of the personal call the tour guide made to let me know that the trail would be too dangerous after the rain storm that came in overnight. It shows professionalism. Viva Rio.
The hike itself was good, but it is a strenuous activity. The hike is an hour long going up. Make sure u come prepared to hike and stay hydrated, u will sweat. Once you are at the top there is a wait to take pictures. There is no time limit or certain amount of poses you can do so the wait is 2 hours long maybe longer. There is no shade so u wait in the hot sun for hours since there is no limit, which was annoying. There should be a 5 minute limit per person to make the time shorter and have shade as we wait. The restaurant they take you to eat at is so hot, I almost passed out. They also didn't have any soap in the bathroom which worried me because the employees were using this bathroom as well. Overall, the activity was fun and Fabienne was great and really cared about our safety.

The hike is very strenuous, but the view is well worth it. Fabiano was excellent. He helped my friends who couldn't make it get an Uber back. He went above and beyond to check on everyone and make sure they were ok. He also gave his extra water and took pictures of us on the rock.
