Beschrijving
Geniet van enkele van de meest spectaculaire bezienswaardigheden van Rio de Janeiro vanaf het water, in het zachte licht van de ochtend. Zeilen in de ochtend betekent ook sterkere, stabielere winden op Guanabara Bay, waardoor deze tour een van de langste echte zeilstukken van elke DDRio-ervaring is. Aan boord genieten gasten van een complete brunchservice die al bij de prijs is inbegrepen - mousserende wijn, caipirinha, caipivodka, bier, frisdrank, koffie, sap en water, gecombineerd met vleesspiesen, kaas, olijven, toast, pinda's en een seizoensgebonden fruitplaat. Onze bemanning vaart niet alleen veilig en comfortabel - ze delen ook de verhalen achter de forten, stranden en heuvels die het landschap vormen, allemaal in beschut water dat de rit comfortabel houdt van begin tot eind.

De tour begint om 10.00 uur bij de pier van MARINA DA GLORIA. We varen langs Flamengo en Botafogo en stoppen vlak bij Sugarloaf Mountain in Urca voor foto's. We passeren vervolgens het Fort van Sao Jose, Fort Lage en Santa Cruz, en steken Niteroi over naar Adao e Eva Beach voor een zwemstop van 20 minuten. We rijden verder richting Boa Viagem Island, langs het Niteroi Museum of Contemporary Art, en varen terug naar Marina da Gloria met Sugarloaf Mountain en Christus de Verlosser aan de horizon. De tour eindigt om 13u00.
Eerste stop van de tour, dicht bij Sugarloaf Mountain in Urca, voor een groepsfoto met Rio's iconische skyline voordat je verder gaat naar Niteroi.
Zwemstop van ongeveer 20 minuten bij dit strand tussen Rio en Niteroi, een hoogtepunt van het ochtendzeilen.
We varen richting Boa Viagem Island, langs het Niteroi Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), voordat we terugvaren naar Marina da Gloria.

It was a fabulous experience and mainly because of Clarisse our hostess and guide. She was an excellent conversationalist and the most attentive host. Clarisse and Joshua took super care of us and gave us an amazing experience on board their sail boat. It was lovely to be able to explore the Bay under sail as well as the usual motoring. We were blessed with calm, sunny weather and just enough of a breeze to utilise the sail. Clarisse treated us with lovely snacks, drinks and information on what we were seeing. Blankets were provided when our boy got a little chilly. We had a swim off the Adam and Eve beaches and returned to the harbour very very happy with our wonderful morning's sail. We would highly recommend this tour and please remember to tip if you have an amazing experience as we had had.

A perfect way to spend a Monday morning! The weather was great, and we were surprised to have the boat all to ourselves! Clarisse was wonderful - so sweet, and she took such good care of us. Capt. Apollo was fantastic, too - told us lots of cool facts about the area, and helped us to get comfortable for pictures.
