De Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain-tour is ideaal voor iedereen die de beroemde regenboogkleurige bergen wil zien, maar geen uren wil trekken. Het is veel rustiger en ongerepter dan de klassieke Vinicunca regenboogberg. Deze tour is geschikt voor alle fitnessniveaus, met zoveel pauzes om op adem te komen als je nodig hebt! Tijdens deze tour zie je 3 verschillende, prachtig gekleurde bergen. Onderweg kunt u alpaca's en lama's in hun natuurlijke habitat zien en daarna een koloniale brug bezoeken.

Het is veel rustiger en ongerepter dan de klassieke Vinicunca regenboogberg. Deze tour is geschikt voor alle fitnessniveaus, met zoveel pauzes om op adem te komen als je nodig hebt! Tijdens deze tour zie je 3 verschillende, prachtig gekleurde bergen. Onderweg kunt u alpaca's en lama's in hun natuurlijke habitat zien en daarna een koloniale brug bezoeken.
De rit naar Palccoyo duurt ongeveer 3,5 uur voordat we de eerste stop in Combapata maken. Wanneer we de Palccoyo-pas bereiken, lopen we ongeveer 40-50 minuten (5000 m/16.400 ft) bergopwaarts. Hier heb je een spectaculair panoramisch uitzicht op drie Rainbow Mountain Palccoyo-pieken en de hoogste berg in de regio Cusco (Ausangate). We zullen hier ongeveer een uur doorbrengen om foto's te maken en te genieten van het prachtige uitzicht. Hierna gaan we terug naar ons privévervoer om naar Checacupe te gaan, waar we de prachtige koloniale brug zullen bezoeken (we zullen hier ongeveer 20 minuten doorbrengen om foto's te maken en de omgeving te verkennen). Hierna hebben we tijd om te genieten van een heerlijke lunch gemaakt door de lokale bevolking. We nemen dan ons privévervoer terug naar Cusco (ongeveer 2,5 uur rijden). We zijn rond 17.00 uur terug in Cusco en zetten je af bij je hotel.
Het is belangrijk om te vermelden dat de route naar Palccoyo nieuw is, omdat het een relatief nieuwe attractie is, daarom kunnen de wegen ongeveer een uur lang erg hobbelig zijn, omdat de overheid ze nog niet heeft geplaveid.

We did a bunch of excursions while in the Cusco region and this is the only one that was managed well. The guide and driver were great, the meals were great and the mountains were amazing. Dress warm for the morning drive and know that you can leave your excess things in the van while you hike.

We had an experience. We were a group of 3 friends along with other people in a mini bus. There thing was very well organised. The guide who came along with us helped us in every step. He helped in climbing the mountain without any difficulty.

The tour is easy to hike. You need to be acclimated The Guide and the driver took care of us (seniors) a ton. Unfortunately the confirmed pickup time by Viator 6.30am did‘t fit to the time of our real pickup (4.30h information by the company). Maybe our special problem. Nevertheless A great impression.

Regarding the pickup time, there can occasionally be a discrepancy between the time shown on Viator and the actual departure time we communicate directly, we're sorry for any confusion that caused and will look into how we can make that clearer upfront. So pleased we did this tour! The altitude took our breath away but not as much as the rainbow mountains - they were awesome. I can’t believe how many there were. Very glad we did the tour with Into Peru as they were super. Punctual, friendly and well organised. An unforgettable day!

We thoroughly enjoyed this day trip, just be aware it’s at nearly 5000m altitude so you need to take your time to catch your breath - we are in our fifties! Everyone was very accommodating and the colorful mountains are a treat. We enjoyed the small group and transport was good. All round a fun and memorable day.

Totally adored this tour! The mountains are super pretty and we walked with a cute alpaca which a local man had there. Our group were so fun and Into Peru were fantastic. Had to take it slow because of the altitude but that was fine. Absolutely recommend!
