Reisroute

Our trip to Luang Prabang, organized by Bravo Indochina Tours, was a delightful experience. The tour included a hassle-free private journey with a full day cruise on the Mekong River, a visit to Pak Ou Cave and Kuang Si waterfall on the first day, followed by a comprehensive city tour on the second day. The staff at Bravo Indochina Tours were responsive and helpful throughout. Our guide was particularly impressive, showcasing deep knowledge and an engaging personality. He was also incredibly accommodating to our needs, enhancing our overall experience. A visit to the elephant camps revealed that the elephants were healthy and well-cared for, with living conditions that were as good as, if not better than, many zoos I've visited. This tour is highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Luang Prabang and its surroundings with a reliable and professional tour company. Bravo Indochina Tours truly made our visit memorable.
I have been to Pak Ou in 2022 . I really loved it. It was a great trip. I went there by boat and sharing with few people. It was a nice place and good experiences. I had to walked upstairs and see many Buddhist statues in the cave.
A dream cruise on the Mekong The boat ride to the caves is picturesque. The caves are worshipped throughout Laos. There are some 4,000 statues and statuettes in the caves, mostly of the Buddha, many of which are covered with gilding like paper. The first cave is accessible by a steep staircase from the riverside, while the second cave is a little deeper inside the mountain Kuang Si Falls. ( three levelled waterfalls that begin in shallow pools on top of a hill and lead to the main waterfall with a 60 meter waterfall ) and visit a Hmong village
1000+buddas distributed in 2 caves. We should then pay 20000 KIP at the lower cave & the same then again at the cave higher up, although the one in our tour was incl. Children everywhere selling birds in cages that are too small Half-dead eagle flaunted in mini cage. For us it was a cheap tourist rip-off you can save.
A nice trip by boat on the Mekong. But man is also supposed to be good on foot, since countless steep stairs have to be tackled.
No doubt, the cruise on the Mekong to the caves is worth it, as for the caves we like or not, rather not in my case...
Going by barge along Mekong River to Pak Ou caves is a total relaxing trip, getting swept up in the current while enjoying the scenery is wonderful, and you depure to get to the cave with hundreds of Buddha figures is perfect. there, besides, there are children you can help with some pain and in passing buy the freedom of a bird from those they have in bamboo cages. I released one and I felt very good.
No guide showed up after I waited for half an hour at hotel lobby. Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous! Payment went through many days ago though.
Great tour for a first day in Laos if you have never been here before. Went to an interesting cave site, a boat ride down the river, free drinks of whiskey and lunch, and a beautiful waterfall at the end where there is a chance to do some hiking. Great tour.
This is an amazing company run by Lao people to save the elephants in Lao, they also do other tours to the waterfalls and caves. We didn’t want to ride elephants as we felt it was cruel but after visiting the reserve for lunch as part of the waterfalls tour we decided to go back and spend time with the elephants as while we were eating the elephants were just roaming, bathing in the river and eatingWhat a phenomenal experience this was. They are so beautiful and intelligent we rode them with both a Howrah and bareback as well as taking them into the Mekong to wash them. This is a fantastic experience and I would not hesitate to do this again. Manifa are very ethical and focused on the wellbeing of the elephants. Don’t miss out!!
