Dit is een tour waarmee je de meest prestigieuze gebieden van Verona kunt bezoeken: Gardameer en Valpolicella, op dezelfde dag. Om 9.00 uur vertrekken we uit Verona en gaan we meteen naar Sirmione, een suggestief schiereiland dat zich uitstrekt tot in het zuidelijke deel van het Gardameer. Daar nemen we u mee op een motorboottocht en ontdekken we per boot een deel van Grotte di Catullo, oude Romeinse ruïnes. In geval van regen bezoeken we het middeleeuwse kasteel dat dateert uit de 13e eeuw. Er is dan wat vrije tijd om te wandelen in het historische centrum van Sirmione, voordat u verhuist naar een wijnmakerij en u uiteindelijk het hele assortiment Valpolicella DOC- en DOCG-wijnen proeft in combinatie met een Italiaanse lichte lunch. U zult buitengewone wijnen proberen zoals Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone en Recioto, met hun verschillende stijlen, en meer ontdekken over hun verschillen en kenmerken. Tijdens de reis wordt u altijd vergezeld door het fantastische landschap van onze heuvels en hun wijngaarden!

Verwelkoming van onze gasten in onze nieuwe winkel (Verona), waar u de wijnen van de wijngebieden die we bezoeken, tegen kelderprijs, en de producten van het gebied kunt kopen.
We nemen je mee op een motorboottocht rond het schiereiland Sirmione. We ontdekken per boot een deel van Grotte di Catullo, oude Romeinse ruïnes.
Vrije tijd om te wandelen in het historische centrum van Sirmione.
We bezoeken een Valpolicella wijnmakerij om Amarone, Ripasso en de andere lokale wijnen te proeven. U geniet van een heerlijke lichte lunch in de betoverende ambiance van de wijngaard.

- We vragen je om ons te informeren als je een afspraak hebt na de tour (als je een treinkaartje hebt geboekt, een operashow in Arena of een reservering voor een restaurant hebt), dus we kunnen ons best doen om het schema te respecteren.
- In de kelder is de temperatuur constant 15 graden Celsius (59 Fahrenheit), dus we raden aan om een trui of een jas mee te nemen; als het mogelijk is, proberen we je de wijngaarden te laten zien, dus het is aan te raden om sneakers of comfortabele schoenen te dragen.

Very nice 1/2 day tour to Sirmione and Amarone. We had a really fun boat ride around Sirmione with a brief stop in the town to look around. Then travelled in air conditioned mini van to Amarone where we visited a winery with wine tastings and a light lunch included. Our guide Andre was super nice, very informative, and very friendly. We started the day driving with Anna to Sirmione - an old town on a peninsular overlooking lake Garda - fabulous location! Can get very crowded later in the day. Then a boat trip around the peninsula taking in views of the lake and the old buildings (and thermal bubbles rising from the lake) before returning back to the town. Finally the highlight for us - a visit to Dolce Vera vineyard for a wonderful wine tasting and discussion over lunch with Marco the young and enthusiastic owner. The views and wine are incredible. We loved every minute. Anna is a gracious host and careful driver - very pleasant company.
Great English speaking guide who has good wine expertise. Small boat cruise was funf and perfect length. The winery is beautiful and the family member guide spent a couple of delightful hours with us. Well worth the price.
From Venice we decided to plan a fabulous day trip to wine country, and a boat trip to Lake Garda in Verona! Pagus Wine Tours was wonderful. It was easy to find in Verona, then we were driven to Sirimone for a fun boat trip on Lake Garda, then a wine tour at a family owned and run winery, Azienda Agricola Fugolo Ggianluca! One of the sister owners, Sofia was so knowledgeable and generous with our wine tastings, cheese and meat board, and lunch in their beautiful outdoor patio area. I would highly recommend!
Roberto was the best host! Knowledgeable, personable & we really lived this tour with him. The boat tour with opera arias was memorable, but what really made this a wonderful trip was the Fugolo sisters, Sofia & Michaela at their winery. The best tour we have had. The sisters are so passionate about their winery & the service, food & wine were superlative.
This is the 4th time we have booked a tour through Pagus. This time we did both the Sirmione Lake and Lugana wines tour as well as the Trento DOC and Teroldego tours. Roberto was our guide for the Sirmione tour. He was very knowledgable and provided a great tour. Anna Was our guide for The Trento tour--we were thrilled as she was our guide in 2023! We have done 4 tours through Pagus and have never been disappointed. We love visiting the family owned vineyards and they always choose wonderful places to dine on the tours as well. While the amarone and Valpolicella wines are still our favorite, we have completely enjoyed being introduced to the other wonderful wines from the Verona and Lake Garda area!
Really great, relaxed day exploring Valpolicella and Lage Garda. Jay, our guide was excellent. Unexpectedly we had the tour to ourselves !. Two great wineries, a very personalised experience with no rushing at any stage and a great lunch in the sunshine at Lake Garda ! Only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the mini van on a sweltering day.

Had a wonderful experience touring the area outside Verona. Our guide Elizabeth was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our time with her.
