Na het hotel haal je ongeveer een uur naar Jeruzalem en start je een mooie wandeling door de fascinerende oude stad, door de hoogtepunten van de Armeense wijk, de moslimwijk, de Joodse wijk en de christelijke wijk. We zullen leren over het jodendom, het christendom en de islam. We bezoeken de "Shuk", bekend als de "Suk" - de lokale Bazar en bezoeken de Cardo - de oude Romeinse en Byzantijnse weg. Bezoek de heiligste plaats voor het Joodse volk, de "Kotel" -de westelijke muur bekend als de Klaagmuur, waar we een wens op een stuk papier kunnen schrijven en deze in de scheuren van de muur kunnen steken. Uitzicht op het gebied waar de Tempelberg is. Ga verder naar de christelijke wijk om de heiligste plaats ter wereld te bezoeken - de kerk van het Heilig Graf - waar we het laatste station van het kruis van de Via Dolorosa bezoeken. We zullen Golgotha zien waar Jezus werd gekruisigd en we zullen de Edikula-structuur zien - de locatie van het graf waar Jezus werd begraven en herrezen. Op naar de moslimwijk om een van de heiligste plekken voor de moslimmensen te zien - de Rotskoepel en de Al Aqsa-moskee en leer over de islamitische geschiedenis van die sites. Keer terug naar het hotel.

Our tour of Jerusalem with Avi was one of a kind. We took a walk through different parts of Jerusalem the day before Passover and visited the holy sites of many different religions. Along the way, we stopped to get a quick bite, drink a coffee, and taste some local specialties. Our tour guide Avi was very knowledgable and provided us with historical insights that allowed us to understand the city in all of its complexities and contradictions. We were in a small group, so it was much easier to coordinate what we wanted to and when we wanted to do it. This allowed for ample shopping time and a smooth, relaxed pace. We saw all the important stops without feeling rushed, and Avi even helped us locate different shops where we wanted to buy specific items or find some gifts to bring back home to family and friends. All in all, a highly memorable and recommended experience!

If you really want to see the holy city in great details, this is the way to do it. I just finished the tour with three participants and walked the walk. Excellent tour guide Arora(?) and saw many places the big groups wouldn’t go. Arora is very knowledgeable and did a good job. Thumb up.
We decided to book this tour to help us navigate Jerusalem as newcomers. It turned out to be an incredible journey through the amazing history of the city, through knowledge but also trough a deep personal connection. We appreciated Avi’s deep understanding of the culture, the people and the history of this incredible place, and how he makes you actually understand among the complexity of it. Our group ended to be only 4 participants which made a very intimate cozy group. All questions were welcomed and despite the scorching heat, Avi was able to take us comfortably to all places.
