Bang Pa-In Palace is een oud paleis uit het Ayutthaya tijdperk. Het Koninklijk Paleis in Bang Pa-In heeft een geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de 17e eeuw. Het paleis is verdeeld in 2 zones, een is de binnenzone die door de koninklijke familie gebruikt wordt als rustplaats, de andere zone is de buitenzone die open is voor normale mensen en toeristen. De architectuur en kunststijl van dit paleis is werkelijk een meesterwerk, er zijn houtsnijwerken op elke muur, de vloer van de hoofdkamer is Jay tile met kunstverf op elke tegel, ook het omliggende gebied is versierd met Chinese meubels en decoratie.
Het is een van de oudste en meest belangrijke tempels in de geschiedenis van Ayutthaya, aangezien het de heilige relikwie van de Boeddha herbergde. De tempel bevindt zich in het gebied van het Ayutthaya Historical Park, waar belangrijke koninklijke ceremonies uit het Ayutthaya-tijdperk werden gehouden.
De historische stad Ayutthaya, gesticht in 1350. De stad werd in 1767 aangevallen en verwoest door het Birmese leger, dat de stad platbrandde en de inwoners dwong de stad te verlaten. De stad werd nooit op dezelfde locatie herbouwd en staat nog steeds bekend als een uitgebreide archeologische vindplaats. Ayutthaya is nu een archeologische ruïne, gekenmerkt door de overblijfselen van hoge prang (reliektorens) en boeddhistische kloosters van monumentale proporties, die een idee geven van de vroegere omvang van de stad en de pracht van haar architectuur.
Gebouwd in 1630 door koning Prasat Thong ter ere van zijn moeder, werd Wat Chai Wattanaram bedacht als een replica van de Angkor-tempel. De architecturale stijl is beïnvloed door de Angkor-tempel in Cambodja - het unieke kenmerk is een grote, centrale prang (Khmer-stijl pagode) omringd door kleinere prangs.
Phra Mongkhon Bophit is een van de grootste bronzen Boeddhabeelden in Thailand met zijn afmetingen van (ongeveer) 9,5 meter over de schoot en een hoogte van 12,5 meter (zonder het voetstuk). Het Boeddhabeeld zit in de positie van het onderwerpen van Mara. Wat Mongkhon Bophit is een 'actief' tempelcomplex en gedurende de dag bezoeken en aanbidden veel mensen het Boeddhabeeld.
De tempel is niet alleen een belangrijke historische plek, maar wordt ook al lange tijd beschouwd als het spirituele centrum van de Thai. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is het koninklijke klooster en daarom mag er geen monnik verblijven. In het hart van de tempel staan drie aangrenzende Ceylonese (of klokvormige) pagodes op rechthoekige platforms. Er wordt aangenomen dat deze platforms de basis waren van koninklijke huizen in de Ayutthaya-periode.

We had an excellent experience with our guide Rawat for a private tour. He came early for our pick up and explained how the day will proceed. Rawat was knowledgeable about surroundings and spoke about it. The tour can be tailored to how long or short you want to see each site. The tour was seamless as I did not want to think about where to go and the logistics. Driver was great too as he drove efficient and took short cut backroads to avoid traffic. If you don’t want to do the tour group bus thing and want to do a tour at your own pace then check this out.
I could not believe my eyes. It's mesmerizing. While you visit Bangkok. The area that needs to be covered is wide and vast, so take the buggy for sure

Excellent tour from Bangkok to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace and Auytthaya. Our guide Kulsaya and our driver were excellent. Kulsaya contacted us the day before to introduce herself and check we knew the dress code requirements for the Summer Palace as they are stricter than for temples (i.e. no shorts for men). Pick-up from our hotel was punctual and followed by a drive of around 1h30 to the beautiful Summer Palace, which was amazing to visit. After that we visited three different locations at amazing Auytthaya, a true taste of Thailand's history! Kulsaya was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the history of all the sights and of Thailand - we learned so much! She was also extremely good at finding the perfect spot for photos! It was an incredibly hot day and we were struggling quite a bit with the heat but Kulsaya was professional, thoughtful and fun the whole time, even stopping to get us ice-cold bottles of water to keep us hydrated and cool when we exited from one of the temple sights. Handy hint - all of the Auytthaya sights we visited had free umbrellas available to borrow to keep the sun off so that did help a bit. Also you can't enter with water or iced drinks etc - if you have any you will have to drink or dispose of them before you'll be allowed to enter. The whole day ran perfectly to schedule, apart from the return journey due to the traffic. But our driver handled it well, knew a few short cuts and drove safely at all times. Definitely a great tour to see two of Thailand's most amazing historical sights, highly recommended!

I reserved this tour for my family and I but I needed to change the date of the tour because of a work situation and when 2 months before the tour original date I tryed to move forward the date of the tour, this people quoted me the tour on the new date with almost 100% increase in the price. Fortunately they let me cancel the reservation without a charge but we are very disapointed
