Happy guide Hiro. The Peace museum and memorials very moving. The weather really overshadowed the trip tp Miyajima - got drenched even with an umbrella. Recommend the provision of umbrellas for wet day tours.

The museum is brilliant and a must to understand what happened and the resilience of the Japanese people.

It was a great experience visiting Hiroshima and learning about it. Joe was a great guide, very informative , kind and super helpful. Highly recommend this tour for families. Not hectic at all.

The visit to the most notable of WW II memorial was both beautiful and emotional. The tour guides had a very strong hold on the history of the events that led to the Hiroshima bombings and the events that followed. Her reasonings for every monument made the visit memorable. Both tour guides were amazingly patient and gave us ample time to absorb the beauty and the history of the sites. A very well coordinated trip and a must do activity, if you plan to visit Japan anytime

The tour itself is interesting, and the guide shares a lot of anecdotes about the history of Hiroshima and Miyajima. Overall, I am satisfied, especially for having tried the famous Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki! Recommended!

Overall, this was an interesting and worthwhile tour, and a convenient way to visit both Hiroshima and Miyajima in a single day. For travelers with limited time in Japan, joining an organized tour saves a lot of planning, transportation arrangements, and stress. The biggest advantage of this tour is the time savings. Organizing a day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima independently, including Shinkansen tickets, ferry connections, transportation between attractions, and coordinating the schedule, would require significantly more effort. Thanks to the tour, we were able to see the highlights of both destinations in one day. However, there are several areas that could be improved. First, the lunch was by far the worst meal we had during our two-week trip across Japan. The food was dry, lacked flavor, and did not reflect the quality of Japanese cuisine we experienced elsewhere. I strongly recommend booking the tour without lunch and using the free time to eat at one of the local restaurants instead. It will likely be both tastier and better value for money. Second, we paid an additional 3,000 JPY for a Polish audio guide. Unfortunately, the translation worked only while travelling on the bus. Once we got off the bus and continued the guided tour at the sites, the translation was no longer available. We were informed that this is how the system always works, but this important limitation was not clearly explained when booking the tour. Had we known this in advance, our expectations would have been different. The guide was friendly and tried her best, but her English was sometimes difficult to understand. The destinations themselves are absolutely worth visiting. Hiroshima is a place of great historical significance, and Miyajima is one of the most beautiful locations we visited in Japan. The itinerary is well designed and covers the key attractions efficiently. Would I recommend visiting Hiroshima and Miyajima? Absolutely. Would I specifically recommend this HIS-operated tour? Not necessarily. The destinations themselves are outstanding, but the overall organization did not fully meet our expectations, particularly regarding the lunch and the Polish audio guide service. Based on our experience, I would consider comparing other tour operators before booking.
