Tijdens de tour proeft u Pasteles de Cerdo (een echte pijler van het eilanderfgoed), een knapperige ambachtelijke Empanadilla en het beroemde nationale gerecht : Mofongo, geliefd bij zowel de lokale bevolking als beroemdheden. We eindigen op een luxe toon met een ambachtelijke Chocolate Bombom gemaakt met premium lokale cacao. Joel was our guide and he was fabulous!!! Very knowledgeable about the history of San Juan and the development of the Puerto Rician food through the ages. BEST. FOOD. TOUR. EVER!!! Food so tasty and local at mom and pop restaurants. My family loves history and eating to get to know an area and this checked off both of the boxes! 10/10 !!!

We enjoyed the secret food tour in San Juan. We were only ashore from our cruise for a few hours and this was an ideal excursion. The meeting point was less than 1/2 a mile from the cruise port in a little park. Our guide, Will, was excellent and very knowledgeable. The food stops were all excellent and portions were beyond generous. There is walking on cobblestone streets which might be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. The city is beautiful and there are so many photo opportunities.

Trip advisor was so good working with us when we were held up for traffic. We were able with their help and our guide to connect us at the 2nd tasting. The foods were fun, but we did feel we should have had at least some water with the dishes. Will was the best host and was so knowledgeable. We did not get to have the last couple of tastings because the experience ran over and we did have another excursion planned. I don’t want to come across as negative because we did enjoy most of the experience. There were a couple of hills that were challenging, especially in the heat!

We had an amazing time and the food was spectacular! Every bite was amazing. The mofongo was the best we had the entire time on the island. Our guide, Nells, was kind, informative, and had excellent tips for other places for us to go on our trip. I recommend going on your first day so you can get recommendations on all the amazing food you’ll find in Puerto Rico!

My son and I were very pleased with our tour. Nels was so knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my son's questions. He was so engaged, it was surprising. I guess that's why Nels is the perfect tour guide! It was a good experience to try different foods from Puerto Rico. They also gave suggestions for other stops later in the day or during our stay. I would definitely recommend Nels as a guide!!

The tour itself was fun and the tour guide was great. The price of this tour doesn't feel aligned with the tour. If it was about half the price, I would have zero complaints. It was an enjoyable and informative few hours around Old San Juan. The cost of the food per person couldn't have been more than $40 pp. It was an nice experience but I felt a little ripped off on the price.
