Als je eenmaal in de haven van Katakolon bent, is een bezoek aan Olympia een must. Deze tour is ideaal voor reizigers die weinig tijd hebben. Je wordt opgehaald op de geplande tijd en je wordt naar je bestemming gebracht in een luxe, van airconditioning voorzien voertuig met veiligheid. Onderweg vindt u live commentaar waarin alles wordt uitgelegd over het gebied en de sites die u gaat bezoeken. In Olympia zie je de site waar de eerste Olympische Spelen zijn begonnen en het museum met zeldzame artefacten zoals Hermes of Praxitelis. Een ander hoogtepunt is de lokale traditionele lunch. Een plek die de moeite waard is om te bezoeken, omdat u de warmte van de Griekse gastvrijheid, de lunchbuffet en de lokale ervaring zult ervaren.

Het Archeologisch Museum van Olympia, een van de belangrijkste musea in Griekenland. Het herbergt meesterwerken van klassieke kunst, zoals de sculpturen van de tempel van Zeus en twee beroemde werken uit de Grieks-Romeinse oudheid, de standbeelden van Nike van Paeonios en Hermes van Praxiteles.
Slechts een adem verwijderd van het museum en de ruïnes in Olympia is er deze geweldige plek met traditionele Griekse buffet. Op de Olympische heuvel vind je de echte traditionele Griekse smaak gecombineerd met de Griekse cultuur. Je krijgt de kans om de lokale eetcultuur en muziekgewoonten te verkennen

Dora was a great guide and driver. We were able to alter the itinerary, even extended our time some and got to stop st The Olive Temple. Lunch was great, opted against the planned buffet

We would have preferred to be guided thru museum and park- not just a transportation

You are basically just paying for a taxi ride, over 500 dollars. Our driver was very nice and informative, however everything was extra, from the Olympia sites to the lunch. I would not recommend this tour.

I don't even know where to begin with this review. Ms. Dora was the absolute best tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and helpful with everything we needed to know. Her tour was perfect. The bus was clean and she was able to accommodate our every wish for the tour. If you are visiting here, you should absolutely book with Ms. Dora. I promise you will not be disappointed.

We were with Dora of Travel Dora. She was AMAZING!!! We were on a 12 day Mediterranean cruise and had 9 stops. We booked Dora in Olympia. She was the BEST tour guide we had the entire trip. Incredibly knowledgable, spoke excellent English and flexed to what we wanted to do vs. sticking to a script. I would highly recommending "going local" for the lunch vs. the buffet option. She took us to one of the "local" frequented places in the off season months and we loved it. The ruins required some imagination to picture vs. others in Antiquity, but she more than made up for it!

Athanasia was such a terrific tour guide. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge and culture. We learned a lot not only about Olympia but also about olives and some Greek culture. She was always smiling and happy to answer any questions. She doesn’t go into the site of illuminating ruins with you but tries her best to explain everything you will see on your own. The lunch was amazing and unforgettable. It tasted like I was in a Greek grandmothers kitchen. It was worth every penny and I highly recommend. We would definitely repeat the entire tour.

Our family of ten (10) ages ranging from 72- 2 were greeted by Evi at the ship and taken to the archeological site and museum of Olympia. Our family was able to experience this awesome, ancient site independently. From there Evi took us to the Touris Club where we enjoyed a traditional Greek Buffet ( which was really good). A stop recommended by Evi to pick up baklava and other greek sweet treats made for the perfect end of a great tour.
