Ontsnap aan de drukte van Osaka en ontdek de serene schoonheid van Minoh City tijdens deze wandel- en openbaarvervoertour van een hele dag met uw Expert Gids. Begin bij Katsuoji Temple, een verborgen juweeltje versierd met honderden kleurrijke Daruma poppen die doorzettingsvermogen en geluk symboliseren. Wandel door de rustige tuinen en geniet van de rustige sfeer van de traditionele Japanse architectuur. Begin vervolgens aan een schilderachtige wandeling door bospaden die leiden naar de spectaculaire 33 - meter Minoh Falls, waar het water en de frisse berglucht een perfect moment van rust creëren. Pauzeer onderweg om te genieten van een picknicklunch of proef lokale gerechten bij charmante kraampjes langs de weg. Deze off-the-beaten-path tour combineert cultuurhistorie, natuurlijke schoonheid en een vleugje avontuur, en biedt een unieke verfrissende blik op Osaka buiten de stad. Er zijn twee starttijden (9:20 en 10:20). Ze zijn hetzelfde, maar de 10 : 20 begint en eindigt een uur later. Wanneer 9 : 20 vol of bijna vol is, openen we de optie 10 : 20.

Onze reis begint bij de betoverende Katsuoji Tempel, genesteld in de serene noordelijke regio van Osaka. Bekend om zijn prachtige tuinen en de magische aanwezigheid van honderden Daruma poppen die doorzettingsvermogen en geluk symboliseren, biedt Katsuoji een rustige start van ons avontuur. Terwijl we dit verborgen juweeltje verkennen, worden we omringd door prachtige landschappen en traditionele Japanse architectuur, waardoor een rustige en inspirerende sfeer ontstaat die perfect is voor contemplatie en ontdekking. Deze tour maakt gebruik van openbaar vervoer en wandelen. Katsuoji Tempel zelf is een prachtige attractie waard om te verkennen. De tempel, met zijn rijke geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de Nara-periode, is omgeven door een adembenemend landschap. U zult betoverd worden door de levendige seizoensbloemen, de serene vijver, prachtig aangelegde tuinen en de charmante brug die bijdraagt aan de schilderachtige omgeving. Katsuoji Tempel biedt een perfecte mix van culturele betekenis en natuurlijke schoonheid, waardoor het een onvergetelijke ervaring is.
Verborgen aan het einde van een zacht bospad, Minoo Waterval is lange tijd een plaats van spirituele retraite en natuurlijke schoonheid geweest. Ooit bezocht door bergasceten zoals En no Gyōja, is deze 33 meter hoge waterval geassocieerd met Shugendō-beoefening en mythische drakenbewakers die de vallei zouden beschermen. Vandaag de dag is de waterval een serene ontsnapping uit de stad – omgeven door weelderige bossen, speelse apen en de kalmerende geluiden van stromend water. We brengen hier ongeveer een uur door met ontspannen, genieten van het uitzicht, lunchen en proeven van lokale specialiteiten zoals knapperige esdoornbladtempura. Het is een verfrissende pauze en een hoogtepunt van de wandeling.
Na de lunch wandelen we door het park en gaan we terug naar het station. Onderweg stoppen we bij verschillende schilderachtige plekken en bezienswaardigheden, zodat u verder kunt genieten van de natuurlijke schoonheid en unieke charme van Minoh Park. Elke stop biedt de kans om meer van de weelderige omgeving te genieten en memorabele momenten van deze rustige ontsnapping uit de drukte van Osaka vast te leggen.
Verborgen net buiten het hoofdpad, is Ryuanji en Bentendō Tempel. Er wordt gezegd dat Bentendo werd opgericht door En no Gyōja, de legendarische bergwijze, om Benzaiten te eren, de godin van het water, muziek en alle dingen die stromen. Ryuanji tempel is niet flitsend zoals Katsuoji, maar het biedt iets zeldzamer – een rustige, reflecterende ruimte doordrenkt van bergmystiek. Volgens de lokale overleveringen werden apen die hier ooit mediteerden veranderd in een beschermende drakengeest – waardoor de tempel zijn naam kreeg:"Dragon Hermitage."

We had a wonderful experience on this tour, and a big part of that was our guide, Garrett. He has a fantastic personality and was incredibly patient with our children throughout the day. He made a genuine effort to connect with them, which made the experience even more enjoyable for our whole family. The places we visited were all beautiful, but the final stop before the train ride back was especially memorable. It felt like stepping back in time and was the perfect way to end the tour. Garrett was knowledgeable, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable. We learned a lot about the area while having a great time. We have a great time with our handsome, patient guide, Adam. He did not rush us through the trip. He kept assuring us that we can stop for photo taking or need time to rest. He was our photographer too. Another trainee guide, Kikko who went with us to the trip was entertaining (he sang a few notes now and then; understand he was a performer). He offered to carry our lunch packed from supermarket before the trip. He will definitely be an excellent guide in future.

this tour was really great. it is somewhat of a long ride via bus and train to get there but having the guide to navigate it eliminated all the stress. we absolutely loved the tour if katsuo-ji temple in december. the weather was perfect. the grounds are maintained beautifully. our guide joel knew tons of interesting info about the temple as well as japan in general. he let us really take our time to enjoy and was able to keep both me and my young adult sons engaged throughout. he had us stop at a grocery store on our way to get food for lunch which was both economical and yummy. we ate at a spot outdoors with a beautiful view. we then walked a long path to see minoh falls and a very old and lovely shinto shrine. this was a great outdoor day with lots of walking that got us out into the mountain countryside for a change of pace from our other urban activities.

The lads that took us were great. Spoke perfect English. Not that that mattered and knew all about where we went. To be honest I was expecting to train it as I don’t usually read stuff lol I just book. But I really enjoyed the whole Japan experience. As for the tour. DO IT. !!! It was fantastic
Our guides were amazing! Unfortunately I don't remember the names and I would have loved to take your contact but it's a boy from the Philippines and the other from New York. Super patient, friendly and knowledgeable. The place is amazing, the temple is stunning, full of history and beauty. You get to hear the monks praying, it's an unforgettable experience. The waterfall walk is very quiet and not tired. Of all the temples we visited in Japan, this is in our top 3.
