Dit is jouw tour als je een privétour wilt met zowel de grote bezienswaardigheden als een wandeling langs de lokale kant. En aangezien Osaka de "Japanse keuken" is, zal er altijd eten aanwezig zijn, soms heerlijk goedkoop en soms verbazingwekkend duur. In de "topbezienswaardigheden" - geen enkele reis naar Osaka is compleet zonder een stop bij het kasteel van Osaka, maar we duiken ook dieper in de wijken. We sluiten af met de beroemde Dotonbori, maar laat daar niet te veel tijd over, want we gaan ervan uit dat je zelf door de omgeving zult bladeren. De gids is een native of near-native Engels spreker, die ook Japans spreekt. We denken dat het park Osaka Castle zich bevindt, en de buitenkant van het kasteel is prachtig en de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Het vermoeide, slecht ontworpen niet-kasteelinterieur: niet zo veel. Dus we gaan niet naar binnen. Vertrouw ons, je mist niets.
Ontdek deze fantastische tijd-warp van een markt, waar mode, eten en cultuur luidruchtig botsen en geboorte iets geweldigs. Er is niet veel vooroorlogs Osaka over om te verkennen, maar dit is een kampioen van een lokaal gezicht. Het benadrukt ook de Koreaanse invloed op de stad.
We betalen dus niet het geld om naar de top van het gebouw te gaan, maar we weten een manier om een bijna even goed zicht te krijgen zonder in de rij te hoeven wachten, en zonder ook een glimmende yen te betalen voor het voorrecht. Daarna gaan we ondergronds naar beneden en verkennen de mysteries van de Japanse warenhuis food hall en markten. Klaar voor de duurste meloen die je ooit hebt gezien? Kijk maar raak niet aan :)
Dit uitgaanscentrum dat ongeveer honderd jaar oud is, heeft allerlei bezienswaardigheden voor je in petto, sommige glanzend en sommige met een nogal versleten patina. Beide zijn erg leuk om in te nemen. Het is een onstuimig centrum van de cultuur van Osaka, en niet voor niets!
Natuurlijk willen we je de minder toeristische delen van Osaka tijdens deze tour laten zien, maar we zouden het nalaten om je de beroemde "rennende man" en Dotonbori in het algemeen niet te laten zien. Maar we nemen ook hier een paar kleine achterafstraatjes mee en we hebben ook een paar interessante verhalen te vertellen.

Ophalen kost 5000 yen extra, contant te betalen aan de gids op de dag van de tour of via een beveiligde betalingslink rechtstreeks aan het bedrijf. We halen het hotel op in het centrum van Osaka en halen de haven op bij het reuzenrad Tempozan.

Bryan was informative and entertaining, and provided interesting tidbits on all the places we visited. Even at touristy spots like Osaka Castle, he took us to less-known areas for better photos and recommended great food options. Since we were the only ones on the tour, he customized everything to our pace and preferences. An amazing tour with Bryan. Everything about the tour was brilliant. The tour guide's knowledge was amazing, although it's a walking tour, Bryan knew all the tricks to skip the stairs on a hot day. Also appreciated only stopping at good toilet stops. Highly recommended

We had an excellent tour of the Osaka Castle, Shinseki and Dotonburi District. Tommy was a knowledgeable and very friendly guide. Great tour if you want to see some iconic Osaka sports in 4 hours. I took a private tour. Ichiro was an excellent guide, well informed about every place we visit. We visit the Osaka Castle exterior, an some of the most touristic streets in the city centre. We walk and we use the subway. The tour is good because you dont waste time in shops like in other tours, and you can enjoy places walking around with some interesting historic context.

This walking tour was everything I hoped it would be. We saw some classic sites and a few off the beaten path. Our guide Brian was excellent; he was informative, engaging and very helpful. We needed to meet him at the starting location, he texted me the address in Japanese so all I needed to do was show the address to the taxi driver and he drove us directly there.
