Awesome tour. We learned a lot and Chen our tour person was an amazing guide. We enjoyed his humor. Great history and culture. It was well organized with great communication.
Overall, it was great and a nice experience, very unique and different perspective of the main street, and for the price, it was good
Absolute hoot of an experience! Short, sharp and shiny! Great area to see and take photos. Night time is best to see the neon.
Simple, easy, no commentary. A short up and down trip, friendly staff but it’s basic. Not a criticism, just an observation.
It was good but personally I think waking along the canal, river is better. The boat was nice and tidy. Good music was played. Lasts about 20mins.
Supposed to be 30 minutes but feel grateful it was 24. We went 800 metres up the canal and 800 back to loud thumping bass music and no commentary. Other companies cruises had a Guide, not us. It was ¥2000 but do yourself a favour and spend a bit more and get someone to tell you what you're loooking at.
This ride was like taking a boat through the Vegas strip but with noise, nonstop club music, and an ovnoxious mascot/guide who kept yammering “Hiiiiiiiiii” to the boat or to people on the sides of the river. What could have been pleasant was loud and disappointing.
The journey takes a total of 20 min. 8 min out, 8 min back. So you see little, but you see it twice. The rest of the time you stand behind other boats in front of the Glico billboard. There were no explanations of any kind on our boat, but loud disco music throughout. Of course, the neon advertisements are fascinating. However, you might as well - actually better - take a look at them if you walk along the small part of the river. Then you can also set your own pace and stop where you like it best. And the money saved is enough to be able to eat twice more.
They did a nice job on this little ride up and down the river. Great music and a great tour to take to see the famous Glico sign. Must do when in Osaka
The Dotinbori Cruise was a great experience for me and my family. The 20 minutes cruise felt just right and it covered all important locations. The host was funny, which made the ride even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you are visiting Osaka.
