Treed in de voetsporen van Maria en de Von Trapps tijdens deze 4 uur durende originele 'Sound of Music'-tour vanuit Salzburg. De minibus brengt u naar een aantal filmlocaties, waaronder de Mirabell-tuinen, het aan een meer gelegen Schloss Leopoldskron dat diende als het Von Trapp-thuis, en nog veel meer. U brengt bovendien een bezoek aan de regio Salzkammergut waar u de prachtige meer- en berglandschappen uit de openingsscènes kunt bekijken. Voeg een upgrade toe in de vorm van een 1 uur durende apfelstrudel-kookles en -proeverij in een schilderachtige alpenhut na uw tour. Uw chauffeur/gids begeleidt u tijdens de deze privétour.

Perfect tour for those who love the movie. The visit to the lake regions were my favorite part. Such beautiful turquoise water and gorgeous Mountain View. Highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was very nice and did a wonderful job at explaining the history behind the Von trap family and movie. However, the day was way too rushed. We would not recommend this tour to someone else for the price because of how rushed we felt. For the private tours, Viator needs to give people the option to either be rushed through to see a lot of things or to only see a few things from the movie and have a slower time seeing them. We would’ve liked only seeing two great things and be able to take our time and then being rushed through to see multiple things from the movie. Everything was very timed even the down to the bathroom breaks that we had. The food tour operates separate from the sound of music tour. So we had to walk home even though we paid for pick up and drop off from our hotel. Thankfully, we were close to our hotel from the cooking class. Otherwise it will be difficult for those that need to get a taxi. The cooking class was fine. It’s not a private cooking class. You’re in a big group with people - if you enjoy that type of setting. We had booked a private tour so we were misguided on that. The soup served at the cooking class is delicious. That was the best thing that we ate. The strudel and other pastry is just OK but it’s definitely worth trying the local desserts. Its advertised as a four hour tour, but took us almost 6 hours because the sound of music tour is separate from the cooking class. Therefore, the cooking class took about an extra two hours on top of the four hour sound of music tour, which we were not prepared for & had no lunch between and were starved down. You cook the apple strudels then you get your lunch around 3:00 which is the delicious soup.

We are sorry if this was not communicated clearly in advance. Regarding the cooking class, it is indeed a shared experience with other participants rather than a private class. We regret if the description led to a different expectation, and we will review how this information is presented to make it as clear as possible for future guests. We also appreciate your comments about the overall duration and timing of the combined experience. It was a highlight of my trip. Our guide was Sonya and she was incredible!!!
Meeting point was a nightmare to get to and parking was around €28. Our group of 8 was crammed into a 9 passenger van with our guide. It was impossible for those in the middle to see anything. We drove through mountain roads so fast we were taking bets as to whether we would survive. Couldn’t wait to get off this tour.
Mitch was unbelievable and the tour was fantastic! Saw so many places and learned so much that I did not know. I would do it again!

Jose was our guide and he was wonderful! He was been to Vermont to meet some of the Von Trapp family and also met some at the 60th celebration. He is full of interesting information and he is a lot of fun! We did this tour 15 years ago and it was good, but Jose added an extra special touch to it. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time today! The tour was everything we hoped for, and more. Our guide, Philip, was exceptional and despite many travels, we found him to be one of the best hosts we've ever encountered. Full of knowledge, enthusiasm and a zest for joy, he made the tour for us! We shared the minivan for our 4 hour trip with a couple from Canada and a fellow Brit and we all enjoyed the singalong to Sound of Music songs! Philip also shared information about the local areas and the history of Salzburg which we were happy to learn The tour on our first day in Salzburg was lovely to see some of the city, but the lakes and surrounding mountains too. Philip and the staff at the meeting point were all fabulous. More than happy to personally recommend and the extra for the private tour is well worth it. Thanks for a great day!

What a great day we had with our guide Antonio. While we expected information about the sights, Antonio's knowledge about the making of SOM and all the locations we saw was next level. His own enthusiasm for the film and the settings really made the day special and fun. He was also a great driver, which made for a stress free tour. Highly recommend!
