Boottocht naar het begin van het koninkrijk van Portugal en de Orde van de Tempeliers, het kasteel. Boottocht en ingang.
Klim naar het kasteel van de Tempeliers en ontdek het monumentale werk van het klooster van Christus. Laat u betoveren door een van de belangrijkste werken van de Renaissance in Portugal.

A fantastic trip with a knowledgeable guide José. He was incredibly knowledgeable in the Portuguese history, The Knights Templar order, Gastronomy, and the local areas toured. But also, kind humble and helpful to others encountered along the way. I happened to visit during the strike of the Services department of the museums and monuments of Portugal. Which resulted in the Convent of Christ being closed which wasn’t anything José could do to prevent. However he did everything within his power to make up for this setback in the tour and I commend him for trying to help me have the best experience possible. I look forward to a return visit to Portugal and to taking this trip or a similar one again in the future.
If there is one tour that is steeped in history and mysterious events, this is it. And José, who is also passionate about the Knights Templar, is the ideal guide for this tour. Despite the strike at the Convent of Christ in Tomar, the fact that Tomar is located in an area of Portugal where there are other historic towns allows us to find alternative places to visit. We are very happy that you enjoyed the tour and all the history shared by José.
Almourol-Tomar, and the Templars were wonderful to experience. Jose’s knowledge of the history made the tour even more memorable. The convent was so unique and outstanding and it was a spectacular experience. Jose was professional and an excellent tour guide and teacher.

I’m still processing everything from yesterday. It was such a rich day, full of impressions, places, and stories. The tour was thoughtfully structured and moved at a relaxed pace, which made it easy to enjoy. I especially appreciated the balance between history, nature, and quiet moments. Bruno was a great guide. He was knowledgeable without being overwhelming and open to adapting the experience along the way. It was a great day full of history and beautiful places linked to the Knights Templar. I learned a lot, and everything was easy to understand. Bruno was a wonderful guide, kind, helpful, and proud to share stories about Portugal. One of the best moments was visiting Castelo de Almourol. It’s on a quiet island, and you take a small boat to get there. The view from the top was stunning, with storks flying above and kayaks on the river. Very peaceful. Another unforgettable stop was the Convento de Cristo in Tomar. The main altar is incredible, full of detail and surrounded by powerful wall paintings. I also had the tastiest, freshest fish for lunch. A perfect day, highly recommended!

We had a fabulous private day tour (2 couples) visiting Tomar, Nazaré and Õbidos with our guide, João. Each of the towns was unique and picturesque and although a bit of a distance (60-90 min) from Lisbon, very doable in a full day tour, with beautiful scenery along the way. Our lunch stop was in Nazaré and it was a seafood feast at a wonderful family owned restaurant. João did not steer us wrong in his recommendations! João was a superb guide. He was very knowledgeable and never made us feel rushed. The vehicle was very comfortable for 2 couples and João was an excellent driver. He also made an unscheduled stop in Belém so we could visit the infamous Pasteis de Belém for the original Portuguese tarts. We recommend this tour… a highlight of our trip to Portugal.

Bruno and nuno were incredible. They were very knowledgeable and flexible. They suggested and tolerated a number of changes to the schedule to accommodate family needs. The itinerary was great and well explained at the beginning by Bruno, who is providing you with information about all the sites visited and what they have to do with each other. The places visited meet the expectations of the people who are interested in the medieval and templar world. It is a very nice tour to do, you visit not so busy things from people as other places, so it is very comfortable since there are no queues. Bruno very friendly with us and very attentive. Highly recommended!!!
