Eendaagse tour op Ometepe : Waterval - Kajakken - Zonsondergang

De ervaring begint met de auto voor een uur. Daarna wandelen we de San Ramon waterval gelegen op de steile hellingen van de Ometepe Maderas vulkaan, een verfrissende duik in het zwembad van de waterval is bijna verplicht na twee uur wandelen. Het avontuur gaat verder op Istian River kajakken een moerassig terrein aan de westelijke kant van de landengte tussen Maderas en Concepcion om allerlei soorten wild te zien, zoals vogels, schildpadden, alligators, vlinders en apen. Onze gelukkige finale eindigt bij het kijken naar het zinkende zonlicht en de wolken schilderen de lucht met levendige tinten roze, oranje en paars van Punta Jesus Maria, Playa Mangos of Playa El Peru, de beste plekken om te genieten van de schoonheid van een zonsondergang, de laatste afscheidskus voor de nacht om deze geweldige tour af te sluiten.

De San Ramon waterval is gelegen op de steile hellingen van Ometepe Maderas Vulkaan, een stukje paradijs in de dikke jungle waarvan het water tuimelt van de pure, bemoste klif gezicht in een klein zwembad waar bezoekers kunnen baden en bewonder de val. En een verfrissende duik in het zwembad van de waterval is bijna verplicht na een matige wandeling.
Breng een mooie dag door met kajakken langs de kust van Ometepe Island in het Nicaraguameer totdat u de monding van de Istián-rivier bereikt. De rivier en moerasgebieden lopen door het centrum van de landengte en snijden het eiland bijna in tweeën. Het Istián River gebied is een moerassig terrein aan de westelijke kant van de landengte tussen Maderas en Concepción. Het is alleen bereikbaar via het water en is een perfecte plek om allerlei wilde dieren te zien, omdat het een toevluchtsoord is voor verschillende soorten zoals vogels, schildpadden, alligators, vlinders en apen.
Kijken naar het dalende zonlicht en de wolken schilderen de lucht met levendige tinten roze, oranje en paars is om ongelooflijke kunstenaarschap aan het werk te zien van Punta Jesus Maria, Playa Mangos, of Playa El Peru, de beste plekken om te genieten van de schoonheid van een zonsondergang, afscheidskus van de natuur voor de nacht om deze geweldige tour af te sluiten.

We zullen in staat zijn om u op te halen van elke plaats in Ometepe. Als de tour alleen gereserveerd is voor een klant dan halen we op in Motorbike. Als het meer dan één is dan halen we ze op in een geschikt voertuig (auto, busje, tuk-tuk etc..)

What a day! Donald picked me up in the morning and we went straight to the waterfall at San Ramon with the motorcycle. Was a nice hike with some elevation, but very doable and the views are very nice. Donald is a super cool guy and you can ask him or talk about anything with him. He offered to speak Spanish with me when I told him that I’m learning, and I really appreciated that we could practice all day. The kayak tour to Rio Istiam with Enderson was amazing. Saw many different animal species and he really knows the spots to see cayman. We finished by hanging out at Playa Peru and watched the sunset. I would really recommend this tour to anyone interested in nature and who wants to visit some beautiful places on Ometepe with local knowledge. Just one word. WOW. Honestly, if you are looking for any type of tour company in Ometepe I can’t recommend Happy Tours enough. The booking process was super easy via WhatsApp. I booked at 5pm the night before a full day tour the next day and they managed to quickly organise a pick up from my hotel and lunch. I chose the day tour covering the Waterfalls, Ojo de Agua, Kayaking in the river and sunset at Playa Mangos. My incredible guide Donald picked me up on a motorbike and I had the best day. Donald was so knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure I had an incredible experience. I got to see so many more things I would have on my own and not being confident riding a scooter or quad this was a great alternative. At the end I even received a bespoke edited video of the tour day. Seriously, if I could give these guys 10 stars I would. Well worth the money and wouldn’t hesitate to book. Having done other tours in Ometepe and places in Nicaragua this really does smash the rest out of the park.
