Begin je avontuur bij Bab al-Futuh, een van de belangrijkste poorten van de oude stadsmuren van Caïro. Ontmoet je vriendelijke Egyptoloog Gids, die je zal laten kennismaken met de geschiedenis van het oude Caïro.
Bezoek de Al-Hakim-moskee, een van de oudste en grootste Fatimid-moskeeën in Caïro, beroemd om zijn hoge minaretten, historische stenen muren en rustige binnenplaats.
Ga verder naar Bayt al-Suhaymi, een prachtig 17e-eeuws Ottomaans huis. Wandel door de kamers en de binnenplaats terwijl je leert over het traditionele leven in Caïro.
Wandel langs El Moez Street, een levendige historische straat met prachtige islamitische gebouwen, bruisende winkels en cafés.
Bekijk de Sultan Barquq-moskee, bekend om zijn gedetailleerde Mamluk-ontwerpen en fascinerende geschiedenis als moskee, madrasa en soefi-lodge, die de grandeur van de 14e eeuw laat zien.
Direct ernaast ligt het Qalawun Complex, met zijn moskee, school en mausoleum – een meesterwerk van middeleeuwse architectuur.
Dwaal door de kleurrijke Khan el Khalili Bazaar, waar kraampjes overlopen van kruiden, sieraden, stoffen en souvenirs.
Sluit uw dag af bij de Al Hussein-moskee, een van de belangrijkste religieuze bezienswaardigheden van Caïro, die een rustige ruimte biedt voor reflectie in het hart van het islamitische Caïro.

The guide was excellent, he took us around the city explaining things in detail; we chose and found (which is not a given) a guide who spoke Italian, and it was possible for us to fully understand the information. Very kind and available for any questions, giving us all the time to see the things we were interested in better. Highly recommended
Our guide Sabra was excellent. He was very knowledgable and flexible. He went out of his way to accommodate us outside the normal tour itinerary. He introduced us to local food and helped us to understand the art of negotiating. He balanced the tour with the midday sun. Keeping us comfortable in the shade as much as possible. Our tour guide was Randa who was extremely knowledgeable and made the walking tour fun and informative. A good way to see and experience a bit of the Old Cairo and learn some of its history. Highly recommend.

We did our tour on a Sunday morning which turned out to be the perfect time to avoid excess crowds especially through the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Nahed, our guide, was very knowledgeable. She also has a wonderful sense of humour which made the tour even more enjoyable. Definitely recommended

OceanAir also set up a hotel pick-up and drop-off. My driver, Essam Ezzelden, was very timely and friendly. He also gave a description of local sites along the way. Great experience!
