Nicole's Table - Koken met rum

De geschiedenis van rum begint rond de 17e eeuw in het Caribisch gebied. Cooking with Rum vertelt over de geschiedenis en invloed van rum op het Caribisch gebied, de cultuur en de keuken. Verschillende rums zullen aanwezig zijn om het voedsel te proeven en op smaak te brengen. Aangezien we op Antigua zijn, zullen we beginnen met de 5-jarige Engelse Harbor Rum, die op het eiland is bekroond en vervolgens doorgaan naar drie andere topmerken uit landen als Barbados, Guatemala, Cuba, Jamaica en Martinique. Het eten zal onze gasten laten zien hoe verschillende soorten rum kunnen worden gebruikt om voedsel te aromatiseren, of u nu een klassieke donkere rum of gefilterd wit gebruikt. Neem deze klas mee, niet alleen om nieuwe smaken te ontdekken, maar ook om te genieten van de kookervaring met nieuwe vrienden in een West-Indiaas huis met een prachtig uitzicht op de Caribische Zee!

Nicole and Natasha are amazing. We had a wonderful time cooking and fellowshipping with new friends. The food was awesome and recipes were easy to follow.
Friends and food go hand-in-hand here in the Caribbean! That's why we run our classes the way we do... more like friends cooking together than a formal class. This was a great experience that I would definitely recommend. Nicole was so easy to get along with and gave good clear instructions on what to do. It was a relaxed but fun atmosphere. As for the food, it was all absolutely delicious. I will definitely be making it all again and can’t wait to try it out on my friends and family. The rum tasting was a fabulous and informative extra tough that made it extra special. The shopping list for my next shop is longer than usual as I want to make it all again. If you are thinking about doing this experience, don’t hesitate, book it, you won’t regret it :-)

I took at group of 12 to Nicole's Table and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Nicole welcomed us into her home and made us feel like family. She has a beautiful home with an unmatched view of the bay and ocean. The group was totally involved, learned some great skills and enjoyed the rum punch! Will very much recommend and book for future visits.

We joined Nicole and Adam for their Cooking With Rum class instead of a ship excursion and it was the best experience of the cruise. Food, instruction, conversation, drinks...everything was fantastic; it felt like a day at a friend's house. We're looking forward to working with the recipes they provided to be the spotlight of our next party. While we don't have it planned yet, we'll certainly try to schedule another class, or the same one, next time we're on Antigua.

4+ hours of cooking eating and drinking. We participated in the cooking with Rum class. Fun and delicious. Chicken kebabs, rice and beans, plantains and Rumcake. While waiting for everything to cook we got a bit of Rum education and a tasting with Adam.

We were met at the front door and felt like family the whole day. It was alot of fun cooking and just talking about family and anything else. The rum portion was fun and informative. I recommend Nicoles Table to anyone coming to Antigua. Make sure to get a bottle of Havana Club Especial before you leave.

The 'Cooking with Rum' class with Nicole was a highlight of our trip to Antigua, we had such a fun afternoon and came away with many new ideas for cooking back home (and lots of knowledge about rum thanks to the tasting led by Adam). The experience of being at Nicole's Table is one of extravagance and warmth. An exchange of culinary knowledge, a Caribbean immersion, thoughtful conversation, AND delicious food. This was my second time being welcomed into her home and it was such a joy. The recipes I learn there I cook for my family and friends who take care of my property, pets, and plants while I am traveling. It's always a wonderful way to share my travel memories with them.
