Nguna Island Full Day Hike and Snorkeling Adventure vanuit Port Vila Vanuatu

We are a family of five who took the Nguna volcano crater walk. Vanuatu Ecotours were really punctual and professional. The guides provided local knowledge and history on the way to the jetty. The boat ride to the island was comfortable and the walk to the crater, while strenuous, was really enjoyable and at a good pace. After that, the snorkelling at Pele was good fun, the lunch was really nice, and the trip back was relaxing. I really big thank you to our guides Jackie and Jolan who were really knowledgeable and great fun to be with. Highly recommended.

Great day out. Instead of the Volcano walk, we did the village tour with Joseph. An enthralling walk through the village with him. Snorkelling in the afternoon was fantastic. A great spot for lunch and a swim.

The combination of the hike + snorkeling was really amazing. We were picked up at our accommodation in the early morning and then went on drive to the boat. We stopped at the supermarket on our way and were able to buy some breakfast / snacks. We didn’t have the best weather on Efate, but the boat ride to Nguna was chill and the weather there was way better, so definitively pack sunscreen! The hike wasnt too long but it was quite steep, so be prepared and bring LOTS of water and a snack for the top. 1/3 of the walk is on a street, 1/3 through what feels like a rainforest, and the last 1/3 feels like walking through a cornfield. Our guide was so sweet and told us all about Vanuatu and the plants. There was another guide walking towards the back, so they are prepared for different speeds and will take you down whenever you want. The views were amazing and so worth it. Afterwards we went to Pele Island, which is THE most beautiful. We were alone at the beach and the food they prepared was nice. They provided snorkeling gear and it was quite a nice reef. Great island for pictures. I cut myself at the reef and our guides had medical equipment prepared. My only wish was that we would stay on Pele a bit longer, to chill a bit more.

We selected the volcano walk, quite a hike but easily achievable for retirees, we were fortunate to have a one on one experience, our guide had incredible knowledge of Vanuatu, flora and fauna, he was passionate, patient and a wealth of knowledge. He truly was a remarkable young man. The views from the top are amazing and truly indicative of the beauty of Vanuatu. The Pelle beach was paradise indeed lunch was abundant and very tasty, our guide again treated us special and we even planted a coconut to perhaps visit on a future visit. We would highly recommend this tour

Had the most incredible day tour to Nguna and Pele islands with Daniel, Joseph and Jackie. We hiked up the volcano on Nguna and were rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding islands. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful, sharing so much about Vanuatu's culture, traditions, history and natural landscape. It was such a memorable and enriching experience. Thank you for an unforgettable day. We highly recommend this tour when visiting Vanuatu.

We had a great day on the Nguna Island Tour. Only 4 of us did the volcano hike which was certainly worth it if you are up for the walk. It was only 3.3 km each way but fairly steep and humid, there was a lovely breeze once out of the trees though. The ground was not too rough or slippery but would recommend good shoes. The views from the top were fantastic. Our guide was great and answered so many questions about Vanuatu culture. My wife did the village tour which she really enjoyed and also learned a lot about the local traditions, customs and history. We all regrouped on the Pele Island beach for some food and snorkeling off the beach. Make sure to bring reef shoes as the coral come right up to the beach. All the guides were great and we had a lovely day out - would highly recommend.

Lovely trek up to Mt Marou with stunning views, does get the heart pumping. Some history about Kava on the way was fascinating. We had two terrific guides, Roy & Jackie. Pele Island lunch and snorkelling was terrific also. A quick stop for some kava finished the day perfectly. Highly recommend, definitely our best day out of our 8 days in Vanuatu.

The hike was fantastic the view was amazing and our your guide was great. Daniel was our driver and did an awesome job. The whole crew from Vanuatu Ecotours gave us a wonderful experience.
